although i booked the hotel i did not stay there,i actually booked it for four friends, who were delighted with the service, the rooms and the buffet breakfast. They said when they go home to doncaster if asked they would recommend your hotel to others. They would stay in hotel next time they are over here.

Hotel was clean, food was of high standard

When I arrived after 2pm on my arrival date, I was told that my room wasnt ready, and was told to sit down and wait....over an hour later I still wasnt told if my room was ready or not, so I went to the reception again, and was told that they didnt even know that I was waiting!!!!!! I did eventually get checked in, but well after an hour. However, this was the only problem I encountered whlst staying at the Holiday Inn Express, everything else was good, breakfast, cleanliness and rooms were very comfortable. But be aware when you are checking in and are told that your room isnt ready please keep checking with reception staff....dont just sit and wait it out like I did!!!!!

We were happy with the standard of cleaninless, the breakfast and the service. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. Would recommend.

hotel is a favourite of ours, staff always friendly an helpful . lovely clean and tidy. you do not need any more than that...

Great place to stay, fantastic value for money. Secure parking at the back of the hotel. Varied breackfast, hot and cold, pleased all 4 members of the family; great coffee; free complimentary newspaper of the day in the morning. Friendly staff, the girls at the reception couldn`t be more helpfull with planning routes, and other stuff. Would recommend. Thank you.

The staff where very helpful in assisting with our enquiries. One suggestion is maybe you could put a notice near the lifts for guests to be mindful coming in early hours of the morning to remember other quests maybe trying to sleep

4 sharing a family room, all having hearty breakfast for a great price. Town centre within walking distance. Rooms clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful. 2nd time staying there and will stay again.

We were happy with the hotel but it was spoiled as our sleep was disturbed at 3a.m. and again at 4a.m.by people shouting in the corridors

My husband and i stayed overnight as we were heading to lady gaga concert. The room was very clean and the hotel in general was excellant. We ate in the restaurant and both of us really enjoyed it. Staff very efficient and friendly. Will definetlly stay again and would recommend it to a friend.

Refurbised, good quality, room/bathroom with a great shower and comfortable bed with a choice of pillows. Double room spacious enough (with large desk and sofa) for more than a one night stay for a business traveller. Would have liked some additiona/ services in room - iron/board, free wifi access (would always choose hotel with this over one without) as well as room service (delivered to room rather than collected from reception). Restaurant facilities not good - limited choice of uninteresting, unhealthy traditional food (though fish and chips excellent). Self service breakfast buffet restuarant similarly limited to uninteresting, pre-packaged food and machine drinks. Would definitely stay again for room quality but not for the food.

very basic I had the vegetable lasagne which was tastless, on the second night had the fish and chips. fish not cooked enough. traveling on my own I prefer to eat in the hotel

We decided to eat at the hotel when we arrived and the food was very good. Possibly the childs portions are a little on the big side. The receptionist was very clear and pointed out all we needed to know. The family room was very comfortable and catered for the four of us very well. Overall we had a very pleasant experience at the hotel, parking was also very safe, I would not hesitate to use the same hotel in the future.

Everything you`d want from a one night stay or longer. Very clean and comfortable. Great location. On site car parking. Quality breakfast. Only down side was £4.70 for a whisky and diet coke

We just back from the Hotel yesterday and we can Highly reccomend staying here. The only fault and its very small but we had no plate for our breakfast and then we had to wait for cutlery. We could not believe the breakfast the choice was not what we expected, a hot buffet and a choice of cereal and fresh fruit, set us up for the day, we have stayed in other Express Hotels and only had cereal on offer. We will definately be back, the location was great, just 10 mins to the City Centre but some great restaurants and bars on the way, highly reccomend the Empire Bar for great bands. The staff at the Hotel were very friendly, we look forward to staying again.

Can I salvage this terrible mess-up ?

The Hotel is clean, and bedroom kept to a high standard, the only thing i found wrong was the hair dryer didn`t work we had mentioned it to a member of housekeeping but i think she was busy.But over all a pleasant and happy experience had by myself and my family, and we most certainly stay with you again.

Overall the hotel was very good with a high standard of breafast (Cooked buffet) for a Holiday Inn Express. Location outside was a bit run down. The main problem was the carpark for builders yard ??? The ramps to the carpark were 4 inches wider than the car........

Nice hotel but too far from shopping areas.
