We had breakfast in the Lobby. Met by a member of staff who appeared somewhat harrassed, and almost inconvienced at our presence. Went to get breakfast juice, had great difficulty getting to it, as the queue for cooked breakfast ran along that section, so spent most of my time apologising to other guests. Only to find there was no orange juice, or milk for cereal. Asked for same from the girl who greeted us, only to be met with the familiar harrassed look. No eggs available for cooked breakfast. No pots available for tea at the tables. Altogether, a very substandard experience, considering the cost of our stay, would definitely have expected a much more pleasurable experience. Stayed in Europa last year, and had luxury of bath robes and slippers in our room, not none this time. Had some problems on departure getting our car back, due to a mix up with room numbers, thus delaying our departure considerably. I definitly would not consider the Europa again.
Good value for money
Had a great stay in Belfast thanks to the Europa Hotel Staff. Location was just brilliant beside the train station and very short walk to shopping. Hotel very clean and staff extremely friendly. 2 choices of bars for night time in the hotel. Overall had a brilliant stay and will be returning to the Europa.
No full length mirror in the bedroom. The meal we had in the ballroom was very ordinary. It didn`t taste home cooked and the dessert was bought meringue nests, I am sure. For the reputation the Europa has it would need to improve although the breakfast was good and not too tired!
This is a lovely hotel it`s the 3rd time we have stayed here. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent. Would recomend!
we can only speak highly of the europa hotel. We were going for a 2 night stay & found it to b ideally located to all the aminities of the city & we had a very relaxed time there. we would recommend it to anyone
The food was excellent and the room (quality) fine, if a little small - but, as it is central city located, this is understandable.
Due to disruption from the room next door on the first night of our stay we were upgraded to an executive suite on a higher floor. On the second night, at about 3am the fire alarm went off but as it was a hoax due to extinguishers being removed, guests were not required to vacate the premises. It has to be said that all staff were extremely helpful but the disruption for the 2 nights spolied another wise pleasant weekend.
Good check in and out, roo spec very good, Breakfast excellent.Good nights sleep.Great central location
Very central and friendly. Room was very nice. Piano bar had good atmosphere. I`d definitely recommend it.
we have stayed here a number of times, using it for short breaks to relax and unwind.Never have we been disappointed with service delivery by the staff and hotel. Rooms are excellent, beds are right up there with regards comfort, suituation is absolutely central for everything. The Piano bar is a great place to start or finish a night out, indeed, even to spend the night out. Staff are magical, seeming to appear when you need them, otherwise, you are left to your own devices. For a city centre hotel it represents really good value, and is very cost competitive for a 4 star hotel. It will certainly always be my first choice, if possible.
Great place to stay, excellent rooms and great food, however one or two of the breakfast waiting staff were a bit sullen and had to be prompted for coffee refills.
Beautiful clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, very central, we will definitely stay there again
The hotel was well located, and the room was comfortable. However, the plunger in the hand basin did not operate correctly, and we requested it to be fixed on our way out on Fri night. It wasn`t, and we had to resort to a temporary fix. The hair dryer wasn`t working either, but the hotel provided a replacement one.
Fab Hotel, The Staff are so lovely and friendly. Would love to see Heineken been served in the bar as they dont serve it. Will certainly be back
Excellent situation, helpful staff and good food. All that is needed for a short city break.
Receptionist said you had no car parking when I saw on the internet that there were parking spaces available. Receptionist should be more clear by adding that "yes parking is available at a cost". We do not mind paying for parking our car once its safe.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Really comfortable beds
Piano Bar Restaurant Food excellent. Our Waiter was professional, efficient and funny and made our evening a pleasure. Our rooms on the 7th Floor were luxuriously comfortable a very pleasant stay
Did not like the way smokers were discriminated against. Booked a smoking room, was given non smoking by mistake. Was disappointed when was moved to an inferior room which was smaller and back of building but paid the same money as everyone else. Service in cafe very slow had to wait 20 mins for our order. My wife and I enjoyed our stay last August, very central and comfortable hotel otherwise.
With regards to the front of house staff they were all very friendly and very helpful with our luggage and the parking of the car - the latter we appreciated as we did not know the city. We found them very efficient.
Very Pleasant , Clean Hotel with high standards . Staff were very friendly and efficient .
From the moment my wife and I arrived and had our car whisked away to a carpark by concierge staff we experienced courteousness and efficiency. Everyone in the hotel went to no end of trouble to ensure we had a good experience. The hotel itself looks a little tired in spots but overall it is very comfortable and the food is excellent. Recommended.
Hotel generally good and my room (539) was large and well appointed. The bathroom could, do with some mats or rugs as the tiles are quite cold. Also the shower was difficult to operate
The hotel was beautiful, with very pleasent and helpful staff. The room was very comftorble and facilities were excellent. The restaurant was clean and bright and the food was excellent, very well presented and exactly what you would expect from a top class hotel. Overall we had a very pleasent and enjoyable stay and would highly recommend the Europa Belfast. We will definitely be staying again.
Everything in the hotel was perfect but they should care more about people waiting for their cars in the morning!!!
My wife is allergic to feathers when we pointed this out( twice) to the reception we were given a blanket inside a quilt cover instead of a duvet . There were also a few maintenance problems ie. Shower taps
Overall our stay in the Europa was very good, clean and good food. However we spent a lot of time hanging around for the lifts to arrive and when they did they were always full.Very poor service there and feel that this needs your full attention ASAP.
There is no doubting this is a fine hotel, but some of the staff are awful, the Piano Bar staff were poor, waited over 30 mins for a drink, while the barman had no idea what he was doing, House keeping trying to tidy the room at 09.00 on check out day, other day not servicing the room till 15.00. Some staff were very good, but the poor ones dragged the whole experience down.
