Lovely hotel and staff

We only stayed for two nights but, I wish we had stayed longer.The staff, food quality and rooms were excellent. Drinks were reasonably priced.The best part of the hotel (for us) was the library,a really nice place to relax with a drink.We used three taxis, and each driver told us that we had picked a good hotel. The Cavendish has a very good reputation!I will be back!

The room was clean and well maintained my only criticism would be the size of the wardrobe. Positioned half way along the wall and very small. Staying 1 night was ok but if you where staying longer it would be a tight squeeze. Safe was on the floor of the wardrobe so no where for shoes. Breakfast was ok food on the buffet could of been warmer. Good service all round for the price £80 with breakfast would recommend.

I had an overall excellent stay. The hotel is beautifully located and accomodating. My room was spacious enough, the bed very comfortable. However, I had some issues with a window that wouldn`t close. Staff were lovely and attentive, breakfast staff in particular. As I was having breakfast by myself, I was shown to a table that overlooked the sea and this was in my opinion , a lovely touch. Compliments to the caring and attentive breakfast staff working on the 20th. I would definitely return and recommend the Cavendish to all my friends visiting Eastbourne.

The Cavendish Hotel, Eastbourne is an excellent hotel. Seafront location is lovely. Staff are excellent. It is warm and welcoming, serving excellent food, pleasant rooms and beautiful communal spaces. I would be very happy to recommend it to all travellers and look forward to my next visit!

Room was comfortable and clean great stay with helpful and polite staff.

Unknown to me the hotel was hosting a Cuban salsa convention. This restricted other guests regarding availability of food c hoices,only the bar menu was available . the other dining rooms were off limit to normal guests.Had I known this I would not have made the booking Apart from this the staff were very attentive given the problems

We are going back many years to see the quality of service we received at our visit to the Cavendish. Everybody was so cooperative and obliging in every way. The real beauty of our holiday was the efficiency at which everything was dealt with.Saving up for the next break.

Hotel is situated in a good position on sea front. The staff were very polite and looked clean and tidy in their uniforms especially in the restaurant. Reception staff very helpful. If visiting Eastbourne again would stay at The Cavendish.

We had a great few nights at the Cavendish. Easy check in/out, very friendly, relaxed but efficient staff, great choice of food for breakfast and rooms squeaky clean and well equipped. Good location on the seafront and close to town.

The only complain i would make is the hotel is very hot, but when we asked for the windows to be opened it was done immediately and my sister in law was given a fan

Lovely hotel which was comfortable & suitable for the booked occasion (my wife`s birthday). Thought it was actually nicer than The Grand where we have stayed previously, only comment would be to arrange more staff for the bar (we were told by the man looking after it they were understaffed at the moment, hence the dirty tables etc) Apart from that, would recommend.

Room was spacious and suited all of our needs. Loved every minute. Breakfast fit for a king. Definitely going back again.

I was staying for one night and wish I had stayed longer. Customer service was the best I have seen in any hotel I have been too. The breakfast was one of the best I had had in a hotel. Worth it`Best hotel I have stayed in the UK and one of the best I have stayed. Customer service, breakfast, and spa fantastic. Worth four stars and experience made me want to go back to Eastbourne and stay there again.

Excellent service in restaurant, beautiful decor. Wonderful view of the sea . Lovely clean room with all amenities.Very comfortable bed.

A first class hotel, good food, excellent service, the rooms are very comfortable and beautifully clean, would certainly stay again

All other services including restaurant were excellent. Was charged with car park use on checkout. There is no mention of car park charges anywhere on the hotel website..argued the point and it was deducted straight away. To get sea view rooms you need to ask/upgrade and pay an extra £20 a night...which is not really worth it. Overall staff etc ...and all very good...8/10.

Excellent room and very courteous staff made for a relaxing weekend.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and helpful.

Despite the difficulties as the shower was difficult for my husband the room was nice and spacious.The bathroom door didn`t shut either but it was mended as soon as I reported it. Food was lovely and it has a spacious and light restaurant.

This otherwise excellent hotel has a lounge described on the website as "beautiful library": it is an interesting room but has only two real books and many fake shelves with dummybookspines!!

The rooms were lovely and so well equipped ...Breakfast Buffet lovely and great choice of special treats on the menu . Just a shame the lifts are so slow ! We will aim to stay again and would highly recommend. Thank you

After a very hard year i decided to just have a weekend at least away from everything,What a weekend i have never felt so cared for,nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff,eating or just having a coffee in the lounge no-one hurried you,and for a very small sum the ultamate breakfast delivered to your room.my only regret is that i never stayed for a week.coming home relaxed is an understatement. thankyou to all the staff at the cavendish.

My husband and myself had a very enjoyable couple of nights stay at the cavendish, the hotel is of a very high standard and all the staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were excellent. It would be nice to have a little music or even a pianist in the lounge area as it does come across as a little quiet at times. Overall a great hotel :)
