Everything was very good, bedroom very clean, nice breakfast, the staff on the desk did,nt communicate very well but they were quiet friendly.
Good value for money
5th floor room rather small but adequate. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast and services provided.
Stayed two nights, room very small but clean. Continental breakfast fine. Next time we will pay more for hotel with bigger room and better amenities.
A very large family room with great access to transport. My wife and I had a nice stay and good breakfast before our long day while in London
We found Days Inn Hotel comfortable clean and a good location from the main attractions. The Hotel`s location is in an attractive London street. There was ample space in the hotel room for our luggage and good wardrobe space. We stayed for six nights so served us well. The breakfast was very good and the cost of the stay was not unreasonable.
Twin room adequate although small. Bathroom was extremely small and being elderly we found it very difficult to manouvre especially to use the toilet which was immediately next to the sink with very little space! However the main thing was that the rooms and linen were very clean, the staff were friendly and on the whole it was satisfactory.
The hotel was clean, conmfortable, convenient and affordable. An easy walk from Pimlico station and on a direct bus route to theatre land. Staff very helpful. Yes bedrooms are small but how long do you spend in the room? Bathroom clean and showers hot. Breakfast fine, cereal, toast, fruit juice, yoghurt, cheese, croissant, and cooked if you wanted it. Food hot dining room clean, cafeteria style but no complaints. All in all a very pleasant stay.
My only criticism would be the breakfast. The rolls and pastries were stale both mornings.
We have just returned from the Days Inn West and enjoyed the stay very much. The room was immaculate and had been thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The staff were so friendly and professional and went out of their way to help with any enquiry we made. We upgraded on the breakfast for an extra £4 so we had the full English Breakfast which was excellent. the food was lovely and the dining room immaculate. The room was a little on the small size but due to the high ceilings it didn`t feel too cramped. The Contented Vine restaurant is within 10 mins walking distance and serves fabulous food has excellent service and a warm welcoming atmosphere which we would highly recommend.
I stayed three nights, the staff were excellent, the room had every thing i needed which made my stay worth while.
On the whole everything was quite good
perfectly adequate room if stay only a few days however might be abit tight if staying longer! bathroom was lovely. everything was lovely and clean and tidy. it was a straight 5-10 min walk from the bus/coach side of victoria station. easy walking distance to main attractions and restaurants. i would definitely stay again or recommend to a friend.
Location perfectRoom alrightBreakfast (Continental) goodStaff not overly helpful
Desk staff were absolutely helpful - not in any way intrusive or snooty, just pleasant and helpful. The rooms were fine and well serviced. The continental breakfast was just average. Some fresh fruit would have been better than the tinned variety but the really bad thing about the hotel during our visit was that the lift was not working. One of our party had recent surgery and trudging up the narrow stairs was a bit difficult for her. All in all though, we enjoyed our visit and would probably use Days again.
No frills accommodation in a great area. Close to lots of good tourist attractions and transport. Top floor rooms have a terrible climb as there is no lift. Furnishings are worn and dated but it is clean and the beds are comfortable. I would stay again if I was on a small budget but I would prefer to pay a bit more for a bit of luxury
The Days inn was comfortable the room being a reasonable size and the addition of an ironing board was very welcome. The continental breakfast was more than adequate and kept us going for most of the day.It was situated on a splendid bus route the number 24 which connected with many of the tourist attractions,we didnt need to use any other. What was a great down point was that it is a tall hotel, we where on the third floor and the lift was out of order during our stay with no apparent attempt to repair it .Even without cases it was quite a hard climb ,with our small case it was breathtaking but we saw some people with large cases really struggling the, stairs are quite narrow.
A comfortable hotel with friendly and efficient service. Only a couple of drawbacks: 1. Although it is a non-smoking hotel, some guests obviously don`t abide by the rule, as I could often smell stale cigarette smoke from neighbouring rooms. 2. As in some other hotels, they operate a system whereby the type of breakfast is linkled to the number of the room, so if your room is for a `continental breakfast`, you have to pay £4 extra for a cooked breakfast. There was no mention at all of cooked breakfasts at the online booking stage, and it leads to awkward scenes in the breakfast room as people help themselves to the wrong kind of food from the buffet. 3. There are notices in the bathrooms urging guests not to have their towels laundered every day for environmental reasons by putting them back on the rail for re-use, but they gave you fresh towels every day regardless of where you put them.
Very handy for Pimlico station. Right on the main road so quite noisy and the night we stayed we were next to a room where people seemed to be coming and going all night. Consequently hardly slept a wink. Breakfast OK, cooked breakfast £4 extra but not very hot. Could do better.
Mattress was uncomfortable on first night; we moved to another room on 5th floor.Later, lift was not working so were given another room on ground floor.Hotel clean; attention is needed in some areas - ie some furniture & a worn iron flex.Location very good; staff helpful & friendly; continental breakfast provided plenty to choose from.
We stayed at the Days Inn Westminster for my husbands 40th. Following reading other reviews I was very anxious about the hotel. On arrival however the staff were very courteous and helpful and we found the room to be clean and amply big. The breakfast (continental) was as good as any other we have experienced and the staff were again very willing to replenish any items or source specific items (decaff coffee). We would definately stay here again. The hotel was central and suited our needs perfectly
We had a room on the 6th floor, the room was hot, no way to turn the AC on the windows limited to open by only 10 cm, there was no information in the room as to how to operate the AC. We had to ask for a remote control the following morning. The room itself was clean and adequate. The fire door on the 6th floor was wedged open on all three days we were there with packs of towels, an obvious fire hazard.
Clean (albeit small) room & bathroom. Adequate breakfast. Most staff friendly, but receptionist on arrival was quite unpleasant (ignored us at the desk for 5mins while in a back room, offered no info on breakfast etc, very curt). Prices a bit expensive for the level of service provided but the location is excellent (safe and accessable)
Rooms small but that is the only fault. clean and pleasent. Ideal for victoria station.
Rooms are basic but clean and comfy. Continental breakfast was not up to much, the croissants were stale and hard. Staff very friendly and helpful.
A disappointing stay - expensive for such poor accommodation and was glad to leave
The Days Inn was fairly hard to find as it`s on a very long street with literally 50 similar hotels! Staff were friendly and seemed to be working 24hour so no curfew! The room was clean and basic but nice however our TV didn`t work which we reported and nothing was done also the restaurant is only open at breakfast and the bar is currently closed. The room we were in was very noisey but I think that`s because we were beside a stairwell. Reception kindly offered to call us a taxi when we were trying to get to the West End quickly as the underground meant several changes so not as great a location as we thought but all in all it severed the purpose. I must admit though that I expected more from a big name franchaise and would probably have had just as good a stay in a lesser known budget hotel.
The room is very European, i.e. ridiculously small. Two people barely fit past each other. Bed is against the wall. You need to climb out the bottom of the bed. maybe OK for a single travler, but not for a couple. Price is high for what you get compared to bigger/better hotels I`ve stayed at in London.
Good location. Clean room and adequate continental breakfast with pleasant staff.Reception staff did their duty. No more, no less. No greetings and no smiles.Left luggage room not secure.Given the key to take our bags in unescorted. On return to collect luggage, again given the key but this time the door was open. This system is not satisfactory.
restaurant closed without explanation
We stayed two at the Days Inn West .Yes,it was fairly cheap and the room although basic was clean. However the room we were allocated was lower ground,so dark and a bit dungeon like. The lights failed to work when I went to the bathroom early in the morning and also a pull for awall light came away in my hand.Faulty lights were reported to two members of staff, but when we returned to room later ,nothing had been done.I complained to another member of staff, who apologised and arranged a different room us.This was on the top floor, again clean but very pokey. We were also offered two free English breakfasts! Overall,I was not impressed with this hotel{I,m not usually the complaining type].My advice ,pay a bit more, and don`t go for cheap and cheerful. T.W. Sheffield.
