The location of the hotel can`t be beat. It has easy access to all major attractions. Room was clean and nicely kept with good decor. However the room was stuffy with poor circulation and the tiles in the bathroom were broken with sloppy repair.
All staff were very helpful and friendly. Appreciated the upgraded rooms which were very comfortable indeed however they were in need of a fresh coat of paint. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.
The check in staff was quite miserable and not very helpful. The room was very small and basic and the bed was very small. I rung reception to ask for a couple of bath robes but there was no answer so I left a message and noone got back to me or brought any to us. The breakfast staff were much friendlier, we were able to leave our luggage the next day while we explored London.
A few problems on check in but compensated with a room upgrade. Breakfast the following day, paid extra for eggs benedict but yolks not `runny` so didn`t have to pay the excess. Wouldn`t expect little problems like this considering the cost of the hotel but satisfied with outcome

Great place to stay! Only did one night, however service was impeccable, friendly and welcoming. Considering being in central London price was vey good. Would stay again.

hotel room was good, but water took over 5 - 10 mins to get hot. Location was good.
We only stayed overnight, but the room was great, clean and comfortable and very roomy. The staff, particularly on reception, were excellent, could not do enough for us and went the extra mile. I would recommend you to stay at the Thistle Hyde Park.

Overall we had a good experience the staff all very helpful and friendly. although the service was very slow, it took 3 phonecalls and 20mins to get some extra milk for tea in our room. The breakfast service was very slow andvery disorganised luckily we were not in a hurry. The rooms were comfortable and warm and very spacious.
We received a warm welcome, but where told the hotel was full that night and in the room that was allocated to us, the shower wasnâ??t working, but it did have a shower hose in the bath. We placed our bags in the room and went out. Returning to the hotel at midnight, we got ready for bed . When we walked across the on-suit we could feel sharp edges from the line of cracked floor tiles on our feet. We then dimmed the lights in the room; however they dimmed further than expected with only one wall light working. Kept awake most of the night by a boiler next to the room firing up every twenty minutes and rumbling for 2-3 minutes at a time. The Breakfast room was clean and nice. The continental breakfast was all fresh, however the fried breakfast was served within 2 minutes of ordering, sometimes speed is not good. The breakfast was obviously sitting in pans ready to serve, none of the ingredients where piping hot and some tasted on the stale cold side and my fried egg was hard!
Location to Albert Hall and price is the main reason to stay, perfect (Limited) free parking a bonus Front desk, excellent, Breakfast service and food excellent, TV channels are a mess, lots missing and gaps between, why? Could someone just tune them in order Room was too hot had to switch the air con and window to cool down Toilet seat cover was broken only one hing housekeeping ignored it, why? Room was well made no faults very good, bed is fabulous Hypnos is the best bed in the world Will definitely stay again in March but get a bigger front room not a back
excellent location . great staff.nice rooms .superb breakfast .one down side afer returning to hotel for a nightcap no baileys and no coffee or hot chocolate but for incovience my drink was free overall very good value for money with (ask for park view with balcony)great views
Hotel was excellent. Room was lovely but window looked onto 3 brick walls and was next door to the lift.
Overall the hotel was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were good and service efficient. Our delux twin was spacious but had a very noisy fan outside of the window which had no external view. The bathroom was strange with several steep steps (although there was a hand rail) Hot water took a while to come through and fixtures and fittings were very tired. having said that we would stay there again.
Enjoyed our stay at the Thistle Hyde Park. The service was excellent, the location allowed for easy access to the Tube, and the accommodations were very comfortable.
Only complaint was that the room was very hot and air conditioning wasn`t up too much, but service and room excellent, staff very helpful.
Situated opposite Kensington Gardens, the location of the hotel makes it very easy to get to any destination. Great that it had on site parking. Breakfast was excellent, very good value for money. Staff were all well informed and very friendly and helpful. Good sized bedrooms. The only negative I could say is that if you like a decent cup of tea in your room before going down to breakfast either ask for more milk sachets or take a pint of milk with you and put it in the room fridge. Toilets in the lobby are worth a visit just for the decor and old fashioned toilet bowls. Altogether a lovely stay at a great hotel, highly recommended for this price range
Would have been excellent, but the room was changed from twin (which we had booked) to double, and it was for a friend and me. The hotel was full and we could not change rooms. That made the sleeping arrangements awkward. Otherwise, very good.
Excellent Location / friendly staff / Nice spacious room and value for money- I would certainly consider using the hotel again. The hotel had a nice feel and I have stayed in a few 5 star hotels to be able to compare
We liked the hotel and the location. The decor was lovely. The room was small but pleasant. We won`t book a standard double again because the standard bed was very hard and uncomfortable with unforgiving pillows. We had lunch there which was very good and we liked the bar area. The staff were very helpful. Lots of hot water but the shower could have been more powerful. We would go back but book a superior room if we could have a better bed.
Good on all fronts with the exception of cooling, the room was so hot even with the window open I had little sleep
The staff were welcoming and well efficient - we had a up grade on arrival - Rooms was clean and well presented - Breakfast was excellent too - it tasted of a proper breakfast - well suitated excellent location to Paddington Station -Hyde Park Traxi rank up the road, two good pubs on your doorstep, would highly recommend this hotel
Very comfortable, clean hotel. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The only problem for us was that the bathroom had no heating-heated towel rail didnt work and it was freezing! Room had an electric radiator so I assume there was a problem with the heating centrally, otherwise, very pleasant stay
Hotel upgraded us to executive room,very nice & spacious.Close to tube & good restaurants.
Generally excellent but appeared to be short-staffed on occasion
Bed was very uncomfortable (sank in the middle) and room was very hot with non operational air conditioner. After 2 nights we were moved to a more comfortable room with air conditioning. Service was generally quite good.
