exsecutive room for three was lovely, complimentery breakfast was very good, complinentery snacks and hot and cold drinks throughout the day, excellent location, near all the sights of London and as we booked theatre tickets the theatre was two miutes walk from the hotel,we had dinner in the hotels Chinese reaturant and the food was excellent, all in all a lovely hotel, friendly staff and I would highly recommend it.
A really lovely, old fashioned, glamorous hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Room service not so good...
They didn`t have any up grades or offers for us and most hotels would offer something.
For a grand, luxurious and expensive hotel the whole place is too run down and needs work in places. Unfortunately wouldn`t stay again
the hotel is superb, the rooms are very clean wwith very nice decor
We had a little problem of our rooms not being quite ready upon arrival but the staff were so lovely and really helpful and got it sorted very quickly and also offered us a free breakfast the next day and a drink while we waited. The rest of the stay was amazing really comfy beds. Great facilities we loved the champagne and cocktail bar would definitely recommend and stay again thank you very much
Clean rooms, great food, I would have said excellent however staff seem stretched thin and stressed but still polite
Room was clean and comfortable. Perfect location. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
As you walk through the doors the features hit you. As you walk around you see further features and never get tired of looking at the stairs, ceilings and overall awe inspiring surroundings. Beds were super compact but tv reception was slightly poor. Totally enjoyed the weekend
Amazing clean and friendly hotel -
We loved the hotel . Very friendly staff. The food was very well priced considering location .
The staff and and service was outstanding from start to finish. Even to the point that my daughter had paid for a surprise to be put in the room and complimentary glass of champagne in the Reunion Bar. Perfect stay for a 70th birthday. Thank you so much.
Not hot water but hotel staff superb compensated with free breakfast
Tv only 4 channels , beds comfy , awful noise from plumbing during the night , badly needs updating , all show in lobby
Had a fabulous weekend hotel could not fault it it was amazing very clean will definetly stay again
Fabulous stay, gorgeous rooms staff were so helpful and friendly, great food can`t wait to return.
The rooms are very dated and tired. Do not book if looking to impress as I was. The Grosvenor is no longer the hotel it once was. The Scottish elderly concierge was abrup and rude and my New Zealand friends were appalled. Afternoon tea was nice but spoiled by waitress just pointing to their table across the other side of the room and saying "there it is". Service BAD. Such a shame I loved The Grosvenor back in the day. Location is superb on the plus side.
Hotel was in a great location Staff were friendly and all very helpful Room was perfect clean and tidy We would definitely stop here again It made the trip great thanks
Welcoming staff, fab foyer. Rooms very average but good value for money
We had a lovely welcome to the hotel, everybody was so friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and newly refurbished and modern, the beds were incredibly comfortable. We didn`t want to leave!
As seasoned theatre goers we go on theatre breaks a few times a year. As our budget is not endless we tend to look at hotels on deals for £100-£150 p/n. We decided to try a more up market hotel (or so we thought). The foyer was lovely as were the hall ways. The room was not even to a premier inn standard, TV only 5 channels and those were barely watchable due to the grainy picture, the walkway round the bed was so tight you had to walk sideways, the curtain was floor length with an angled wall so there was a huge gap between the curtain and window ledge that let light in, bathroom had a blanked off electrical connection at the back of the bath with the plate being loose, a party going on in a near by room that the hotel done nothing about. We had been to a wedding the night before and the hotel we stayed in was £100 p/n cheaper but put the Grosvenour hotel to shame. I know we will not be going back here in a rush. Thourghly dissapointed and a massive waste of money.
Typical period railway terminus hotel, staff good. However standard room in wing tired, in bed of refurb, bit grubby tv faulty etc. Avoid standard room.
The overall rating was excellent, our only problem was that we were told that we didn`t need to book for the Grand Imperial restaurant but when we tried to get in on both evenings it was fully booked. The other issue is that there is only a limited menu available in The Grosvenor Arms, which meant that as one of our party was disabled we couldn`t go far so had to eat repetitive food for lunch and dinner. However overall a very pleasant experience.
The moment you walk into this hotel you are treated special by the staff, everyone you meet who woks there are polite, courteous and determined to make your stay a lasting memory. The hotel is lavish in decoration with restored 19th Century grandeur which alone makes you feel special the only criticism I would have is our room was a bit dated with the bathroom needing modernising and the television in our room did not work.
The lobby and the hall ways are beautiful; our room was very basic but that was fine for our short trip. The location was amazing, you can walk through the hotel in to Victoria station, however; this back entrance was locked later at night so you have to walk around to the front (1 minute walk). We were able to walk to Buckingham Palace and there were plenty of amenities and shops all around us. We also took advantage of the 30% off parking voucher.
we had a most memorable stay lovely room -lovely staff beautiful hotel suffice to say WE`LL BE BACK!THANKYOU
Room wasn`t ready on time, room wasn`t clean and items missing. Most of all dirty socks were found in bed sheets
Lovely hotel and close to theatre. As with a lot of these hotels, the housekeeping is much to be desired. There were 3 of us sharing a room. One teabag was supplied for 3of us!!!!! The bathroom bin hadn`t been emptied from previous guests. The sofa bed was uncomfortable. Staff were very friendly.
We only stayed for 1 night, but wish it could of been longer. Celebrating my wifes birthday and the hotel left a free bottle of bubbly on ice in our room. Such a lovely surprise. Thank you.
The hotel was very comfortable well situated my only complaint was breakfast it wasn`t very fresh the bacon was very dried up and was definitely not good value at £11 each
The bite was very nice, with spacious room and spotless bathroom The staff were all very helpful and attentive A bit annoying that they unilaterally add a service charge to everything and they tried to get us to pay twice for breakfast. Other than these "paperwork" issues, it was all good and I would definitely stay here again
Fantastic
Loved it didnt want to come home.
Very grand hotel in an excellent position close to the theatre, station, underground and buses. TV in the room was of very poor quality with a snowy picture and even though maintenance was prompt and helpful, even changing the aerial lead did not fix it. Also there was a large crack in one of the cups and only one biscuit.
We had amazing stay at the hotel and I would like to thank the Grovesnor team for the lovely chamoange which just made our stay all the more special it was my 60 th birthday and the hotel was just Fantastic I would like to Mention Babara as she saw to the upgrade for my special day many thanks xxxx Carole lomas Just made my birthday so special
Staff friendly and helpful. Daughter booked us an executive room for our anniversary. Room a dream, beautiful chandelier. Make sure to visit the executive lounge, quiet restful and tasty continental breakfast.
Fabulous hotel, excellent service.
