"Basic but satisfactory"

Clean (albeit small) room & bathroom. Adequate breakfast. Most staff friendly, but receptionist on arrival was quite unpleasant (ignored us at the desk for 5mins while in a back room, offered no info on breakfast etc, very curt). Prices a bit expensive for the level of service provided but the location is excellent (safe and accessable)

Rooms are basic but clean and comfy. Continental breakfast was not up to much, the croissants were stale and hard. Staff very friendly and helpful.

"All in All Good Budget Hotel but a Few Problems"

The Days Inn was fairly hard to find as it`s on a very long street with literally 50 similar hotels! Staff were friendly and seemed to be working 24hour so no curfew! The room was clean and basic but nice however our TV didn`t work which we reported and nothing was done also the restaurant is only open at breakfast and the bar is currently closed. The room we were in was very noisey but I think that`s because we were beside a stairwell. Reception kindly offered to call us a taxi when we were trying to get to the West End quickly as the underground meant several changes so not as great a location as we thought but all in all it severed the purpose. I must admit though that I expected more from a big name franchaise and would probably have had just as good a stay in a lesser known budget hotel.

"Not Pleased"

The room is very European, i.e. ridiculously small. Two people barely fit past each other. Bed is against the wall. You need to climb out the bottom of the bed. maybe OK for a single travler, but not for a couple. Price is high for what you get compared to bigger/better hotels I`ve stayed at in London.

"Impersonal Hotel"

Good location. Clean room and adequate continental breakfast with pleasant staff. Reception staff did their duty. No more, no less. No greetings and no smiles. Left luggage room not secure.Given the key to take our bags in unescorted. On return to collect luggage, again given the key but this time the door was open. This system is not satisfactory.

"Not to be recommended"

We stayed two at the Days Inn West .Yes,it was fairly cheap and the room although basic was clean.However the room we were allocated was lower ground,so dark and a bit dungeon like.The lights failed to work when I went to the bathroom early in the morning and also a pull for awall light came away in my hand.Faulty lights were reported to two members of staff,but when we returned to room later ,nothing had been done.I complained to another member of staff,who apologised and arranged a different room us.This was on the top floor,again clean but very pokey.We were also offered two free English breakfasts! Overall,I was not impressed with this hotel{I,m not usually the complaining type].My advice ,pay a bit more,and don`t go for cheap and cheerful. T.W. Sheffield.

"Really good budget hotel"

Have stayed at a few of the budget hotels on Belgrave Road for business reasons and the Days Inn is by far and away the best. The man on Reception was very polite and welcoming and the double room whilst fairly small, was what you would hope for in a budget hotel - clean and well maintained. There was even an ironing board, which I hadn`t expected. All the Belgrave Road hotels are well situated for Victoria Station and Central London, but the Days Inn is the first that I would recommend

"Spotless and very comfortable."

Clean and comfortable but would recommend sticking to continental breakfast as full English was clearly not! Bacon like leather, scrambled egg full of unpleasant cheesy stuff, budget sausages yuk! The only nice things were the tinned tomatoes. Cold breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Would stay there again xx

"Substandard rooms "

We stayed two nights in Days Inn West, on the 11th and 12 of May. The first night in was in a very substandard room (No. 150) with two single beds.(as requested) The general condition of the room was very poor and needed some very serious updating. The quality of the decoration was outdated and poorly finished. This wasn`t the main problem, the mattresses had springs coming out of them and looked as if they were many years old. The following morning we complained and had the room changed, the second room was satisfactory with good mattresses. The staff were helpful but obviously knew the condition of the room. Our complaint was received with a smile! The lack of a good night`s rest the first night seriously compromised our time in London as we were left unrefreshed with bad backache. I would like to make a formal complaint and have this issue addressed as we have stayed in several Days Inns in the USA and have had positive experiences.

The shower was not working and I was unable to shower in the morning. The bedroom was grimey and the bathroom and bedroom tiny. I spoke to the man at the desk who said he would send someone up to see the shower. No one came. I do feel very strongly that some recompense needs to be made. I look forward to hearing from you.

beds clean staff friendly and helpfull good choice on continental breakfast not so good on english .near wesminster attractions but quiet a way to oxford street but bus stops 3 yards away to victoria where you can change to anywhere you like will go again

"A very nice area - the room was clean and comfortable."

Unfortunately although the bed was quite good (Room 106), a machine (water pressure pump ??) started up at about 4.00am making an awful noise until we got up at about 0730. This was not good after a late night! Also, we thought the machine-coffee served with our continental breakfast was horrible and we could not drink it. Straight Nescafe sachets would have been much better.

"Good hotel city centre"

The room was very clean, clean sheets, clean bathroom...I didnt speak too much with the staff as I was always out, but they seemed nice.we also had breakfast included in the price but we never went to check so I can`t say anything about that.rooms and bathroom are very small but all that matters is that they were clean. Hot water anytime during the day and night. Good price. I would go again

"Good location and breakfast."

Our room was very small for a double and had a smell of drains. Heating was on full and would not turn down so were glad we were only there one night. Helpful staff.

The hotel was clean and nicely decorated in a great location, however the mattress was very lumpy and we had warm water the first 2 days and no hot water the last 2 days. Makes it difficult to have a shower. Wish we had Wi-Fi in our rooms as well.

"Pleasant reception area with good welcome from young lady (Polish?) "

For our one night stay we were allocated a top floor attic room with great views over London. We were allocated a top attic room with great views over London, and the room was very clean and adequate for our purpose; if we had stayed for more nights better clothes hanging storage would have been essential. The catering facilities were fine, with pleasant staff. We will not hesitate to use the Days Inn group in the future.

"Clean room average overall."

The Hotel is clean but could do with a lick of paint. We choose the Bed and Breakfast option which suited our plans. The reason why we gave the hotel average overall is because the reception staff were not as welcoming as the staff who served breakfast.

"hotel restuarant was worst I have ever stayed in......never again"

the only good remark for this hotel was vicinity to victoria station and the bedding was clean. had to swop rooms with my daughter and grandaughter as their t. v. didnt work. I had no sleep from the constant drone from ? an air vent all night and oh my! the restuarant was the worst I have ever visited. the discustingly filthy chef ...no couldnt call him a chef, cook....who was walking around with his greasy hair and the dirtiest top on, completely put us all off eating any of the breakfast, otherthan the yoghourts and toast we all hoped he hadnt touched. a replacement carpet in the room to replace the thread bare one we had would improve on an ok bedroom. will not be staying here again, it was though only booked out of desperation, although I was expecting better.

overall the hotel was clean and tidy but beds really uncomfortable, rooms where small but ok as we where only in it for sleeping we where put in a lower ground room which meant it was dark as hardly any light got in,

Good location. Clean, comfortable hotel but a bit shabby - needs some upgrading. Continantal breakfast was ok but the £4 charged to upgrade to the full English would be much better spent elsewhere.
