The chef is first class with a good attention to detail, from breakfast through to dinner. The hotel is outside Dublin and is beside a main road, but is a good stopping off point if you do not want to enter the city.
There was some noise from the disco otherwise a calm evening in good clean accommodation. The breakfast was superb. I stayed at five star hotels which have not provided the same quality and variety for breakfast
This hotel was ideal for me as I was visiting family in Clondalkin. However, if you wanted to visit Dublin and be near to the city centre it would not be the best hotel. It is about 7 or 8 miles from the centre and if you didn`t have a car you would have to hire taxis or travel by the Luas tram system.
We booked this hotel as it was in close proximity to relatives that we were visiting. We chose well, the hotel was clean and tidy, good service provided. Only downside was that we had trouble with the keycards on more than one occasion. I would stay at this hotel again when visiting Dublin.
Correct address for sat nav would be useful
booked a triple room for an overnight stay in Dublin for a birthday arrived to 3 single beds a spacious room plenty of things in the room extra pillows iron and ironing board hair dryer etc 10 minute walk to the Luas with access to the city centre great restaurant beside the hotel and there is a garage aswell! would recommend to all!!
... would be if we could stay longer. The room was fabulous. They even had fans in the room as it was really warm out. V well done!
Comfortable hotel with helpful friendly staff, good food, busy main road adjacent so glad I didn`t have a front facing room. A shuttle bus from/to the airport would have been helpful. Not very good for travelers without a car, as rail a long walk and bus not too close.
Bedrooms well furnished and good quality but lighting very dim.
Good hotel, clean accommodation, efficient staff and comfortable public areas - nice bar and restaurant - mainly suited to overnight tourist coaches and corporate functions - too far away from Dublin City Centre for longer stays and too far away from the nearest tram connection to be able to just `pop` into the City and back - requires local taxi to and from hotel to tram, unless a good walk is on the itinerary! Last word has to be for the staff both on Reception, in the Bar/Restaurant and the Chambermaids ....... all extremely polite and helpful which certainly made my stay a very enjoyable one as we were booked at this Hotel for 7 days via the Internet which meant we had no idea where it was situated as this was our first trip to Ireland !!!
Would love to come back again. We were here to meet with our colleagues at iaba but hadn`t realised we could have had a discounted rate. Love your hotel. Thanks for the great hospitality.
Would recommend it to anyone. The staff are help and the rooms are gorgeous. Can`t wait to stay with them again.
Very friendly helpful and efficient staff and food was excellent would highly recommend
Had to phone reception at a.m. because of very noisy people in the corridor. The problem was quickly and effectively addressed and we were compensated with a free breakfast. (Well done Sebastion) Bar/Restaurant a bit "Fawlty Towers" when busy e.g. I had to ask 3 times for my wine to be brought to the table. I would probably eat out next time. The total tab I signed did not correspond with charge made on checkout but was about right. I was probably charged for a soft drink which we had returned as it was not what had been requested but as no detailed receipt given so I cannot be sure.
The clerk on the desk seemed to resolve problems that arose very calmly and efficiently for one lady that I witnessed
A very friendly hotel, staff very obliging. Lovely breakfast and very good service. We would definately return again.
Hard access to city centre
we stayed here on St. Patricks night, the staff were very helpful and let us check in earlier than 2pm, there was also good craic in the hotel lobby that night when we came home! the rooms were lovely and clean, the staff were very friendly, the only draw back was that the shower leaked all over the floor in our room and our friends other 2 rooms, this didn`t really bother me as It was easy enough to wipe with a towel after!
good overall hotel with helpful. friendly staff
Underground parking lighting was dim
We found the hotel very good value. The service was top notch. the food was lovely ( the home made Burger was oustanding! ) If we tried we could not find fault. We would recomend this hotel.
Nice room, very nice stuff in a bar, reception ok too, was a bit cold in room, would prefere different type of shower.
The only criticism I have, is that a milk jug was spilt on nearby table whilst at breakfast and it was not cleaned up properly immediately. As a result another customer sat at the table when the chair was still wet and milk had not been cleaned up from the floor.
Good hotel, food great staff helpful. Only downside was for a four * hotel our room was not perfectly clean, sheets and bedding were, but just minor things like taps, and floor in the bathroom. However this would not stop us staying again. Also had to run the water for a long time to get cold water. And not enough hangers.
yes our stay was great we will be back.
Hotel was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Its a 15 min walk from the nearest Luas train station, which can be a pain if you`ve got bags. Rooms were lovely and very modern - far better than I`d expected. Breakfast was ok. Nothing to write home about, but again staff were excellent and friendly.
Staff were generally very friendly, hotel room was a good standard. Hotel was a little off the beaten track though. There is a luas station ten mins walk away, but the hotel is basically situated on top of a very busy main highway about half hour away from the city centre by tram. For the price this was well worth it though.
Had 4 nights here in June 2011, staff were great, room was spotless and food was great. 15-20 minute walk to tram into town or around £20 taxi into city centre.
lovely breakfast. lovely room no complaints at all. We would definitely recommend it to our friends.
All the staff in the hotel were very helpful and accomodating. Overall the hotel was very clean, modern and well presented. Throughly enjoyable break.
I stayed at the hotel (along with my ex-wife and 2 small children) for 4 nights and we did not get one good night`s sleep during that time. The door closing devices fitted to the room doors mean that each time someone closes a door, it slams shut. In addition, there were still people running up and down the corridors, shouting and laughing at 2 am. This meant that my daughter entered her Irish Dancing competition feeling tired and irritable, which is not great! Apart from that, the rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable (but without the advertised air conditioning).
Hotel was very modern and well maintained. Staff very very helpful and friendly. Bar and food in LJ`s really good quality and value. Would recommend a meal at Joel`s Restaurant right opposite the hotel.
Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel but didn`t get much sleep as the radiator made a noise even when switched off..!
