Clean room with everything you need though plug missing from bathroom basin. Please don`t bother to put up signs "Doing our bit" unless you are going to train the chambermaids not to take away towels every single day. Good breakfast with plenty of choice - staff seemed very rushed possibly understaffed during our stay.

The Thistle Kensington Gardens is convenient, absolutely clean, very comfortable coupled with a fantastic breakfast. We will definitely stay again.

The hotel is very clean. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast was as good as any other hotel that I have stayed in including Hyatt and Hiltons. The evening meals were excellent at a price which just seemed too cheap for a hotel in the centre of London. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and cannot wait until I can come back again.

Myself and 3 friends have had a great time in your hotel for the last 3 nights. The views over the park are amazing, the location with all its transport links is excellent. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom is 100%. A great choice..

You will not be impressed with the outside, it is above a petrol station/waitrose, so if you are out to impress, you won`t. However the public areas are very nice. We booked a standard double and twin, the twin was upgraded. They got a park view room ( 8th floor) and was noticably bigger. Our double room had some problems, air con didn`t work and cupboard/ drawer was not in great shape, carpets could do with a good clean. We did inform reception next morning about the air con and they did move us to another room with no problem. The beds were very comfortable and apart from the carpets were very clean. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and was always being replenished. The lady in charge of breakfast was genuinely cheerful and friendly. Location was ideal being a few mins from Queensway underground (central line) easy to get about. If you are looking for somewhere reasonable and good location this is fine

This is a little gem with excellent staff. Its location was perfect for us to access theatre area and all the attractions of London. Our room was as described and clean and serviced well. We would certainly use the hotel again.

The hotel overbooked us and we only found out from HotelDirect after having already arranged to leave the bags at the hotel reception for checking in later that evening. Luckily we were in the hotel toilets when the call came and were able to go back to reception and query the overbooking. They then apologised and arranged for a taxi to take us the alternative hotel.

Whilst we have stayed in other Thistle Hotels where the accommodation is fine and breakfast offers plenty of choice, nowhere have we had such pleasant and helpful staff who helped to make our stay more enjoyable.

The fire alarm went off at 2am in the morning had to evacuate the hotel, then went off at 3am in the morning then four times after that. We had no apologies no explanation. Was so tired had to cancel my business meeting. It`s not good enough.

The hotel said that the original booking via Hotel Direct was for a standard double room and not a family room for three. I assume this would have been picked up by Hotel direct when contacting the Thistle the day before to check the booking. As it happened, I contacted the Thistle a week before arrival to make sure the room was for family of 3 and they changed the booking at my request, not Hotel direct. This concerns me if we book again with Hotel direct. Other than this all was well and an extremely enjoyable weekend.

We would use this hotel again. Everyone was very helpful and polite, from the reception to the waiting staff.

Very clean, comfortable and quiet,even though on main road. Room, for London, no a bad size. Easy access to all London highlights via bus, tube or walking and Hyde Park/Kensington gardens opposite for a little peace. Very good Hotel

Lovely hotel in an ideal position. We`ve stayed here before a few times. Staff very helpful. Breakfast is lovely and not noisy or too busy. We had an evening meal and it was lovely. Plenty eating places and a vibrant community just round the corner. Can walk have a lovely walk into Oxford St, or go straight across the road and your into Hyde park. Very central for everything.

stayed for 2 nights. because it was a special celebration for me and my partner our room was upgraded .we ended up on the 9th floor overlooking hyde park. we had flowers and cupcakes put in our room after my daughter offered to pay extra for the surprise, they did it for free. the staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble,very smiley and friendly.there was an amazin choice for breakfast couldn`t ask for more and once again very attentive staff ready to help.the bed was massive and comfortable . would recommend a high floor as you get a fantastic view of the London skyline and it cuts out the noise from the street below.all in all they made our stay very special.

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean and view of park an added bonus. The staff were exceptional. Especially the restaurant staff who were charming.

Ended up climbing stairs, loaded down after a Hyde park event. Exactor fan in internal bathroom not working. Only three lifts one of which not working. Other two would not go higher then 4th floor before going down to answer calls from other guests. Tv channels all messed up with no menu, had no way of knowing what channel we was on. Wifi very slow. Clean and breakfast good value. Would not use again due to lift problems.

Friendly staff. Good sized room. Very comfortable bed. Slight concern about security - all the time we were able to walk straight off the street and up the stairs (for exercise) and to our room without any checks on who we were. (the stairs are pretty well out of sight of Reception) A hand rail on the wall would have made getting in and out of the bath easier. All minor points. We had a great stay. Thank you.

The hotel is situated above a petrol station so the frontage is not particularly good.Entry is via a side door into a lift lobby then reception on 1st floor.Standard room but housekeeping not great,hairs in bath and item of clothing from previous guest on floor.We felt like second class citizens for some reason,we were the only people not offered snacks in the bar and although it was table service I had to keep going back to the bar to request service.In the morning there was an issue with the breakfast which they said wasn`t included despite it being in writing on our booking and confirmed by reception when booking in.While mistakes happen thetissues was sorted in public in the restaurant in front of other guests was highly embarrassing.In the end I had to go to reception,which was all of 10 yards away from the restaurant ,to sort it. (they blamed hotels direct).Overall the hotel was OK but staff were inconsiderate and unhelpful.

Just had a one night stay In the Thistle Kensignton Gardens. This hotel is very good value for money. The staff are well presented and are very friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were very clean and were finished to a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of hot and cold items with an `all you can eat` feel. Hotel is very well situated, within walking distance of Oxford Street and Notting Hill. I stayed here to go to a show in the Royal Albert Hall and it was very cheap to get tehre and back in a Black Cab.

Room very small, clean and bed fairly comfortable. It appears that guests from European countries were allocated the rooms overlooking Hyde Park. The breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. The staff were excellent.

Room not available [ready] on arrival at 3.30 pm asked to wait in friends room and would send key later .room key arrived 4.10 .early dinner booked for 4.30 food expensive with slow service an only average quality Reception good at helping to sort problem with show tickets, overall not bad but for 3star

Very good customer service and care. Was a little annoyed at the early fire alarm. Need to work on the quality of the hot breakfast. Storage space in the rooms was limited which caused a lot of floor space to be occupied. Other than that, a very pleasant stay in an ideal location.
