"Stayed June 23rd & 24th"

Even though we were prepared for a noisy couple of nights, we were pleasantly pleased that the music was finished by midnight although we found we couldn`t hear it with the windows shut the bar entertainment was good, breakfast was excellant, we would definately stay there again, brilliant out door smoking area for those that do!

"Good value but noisy"

Room was very spacious, but decor quite tired & in need of updating. Disco at back of hotel was noisy until 2am, but this was mentioned in the review before we booked so no worries - ear plugs supplied were well received. Building work taking place at back of hotel were very noisy from 8am meaning no lie in allowed. Breakfast was a bit dry & tough.

Requested a room with a balcony overlooking the beer garden well in advance when i arrived they didn`t know what i was talking about very annoyed as we were treating a friend for her birthday. window would`nt open in room had to get assistance. Electricity card (room key) had trouble getting working.cleaners had there store next to our room such a racket they made a 7.45 in the morning woke us all up. chased out of the beer garden at 11.45 by a very intimidating bouncer. would never return to this hotel very dissappointed, i will not even start on the breakfast!!!

When I first walked into the hotel I was very impressed with the overall image and look of it. It also appeared to be very clean. Our room was great, everything a good hotel room should be. The main problems arose when we returned to the hotel from our evening out to extremely loud music from the bar downstairs which we could hear as plain as day. Not something you want till gone midnight after a long day travelling. If that wasnt bad enough we were awoken at 6.30 in the morning (after been kept up with the loud music) to the sound of the staff taking the empty barrels outside from the bar, the noise was horrendous. Would not stay there again!

"Building Work!"

We knew about the noise from the club, which as we were very tired people it wasn`t an issue; we slept right through it. However, what I did object to was the builders who were 1 metre away from our single-paned and slightly cracked window. It was not only annoying that they started work with their pneumatic drill at 8am when the club finished at around 3am, but it was even more frustrating that apparently Darren was using the wrong drill head (according to Terry it should have been a 4.2 head!). We weren`t informed about the building work before we went or when we checked in, which wasn`t exactly professional. To get off my little rant though, the hotel itself was in a good location and it had a lot of character, although it was a bit shabby in parts but the rooms were nice and the beds very comfy!

"If you like more then 3 hrs sleep a night - stay away!!!!"

Myself and partner stayed at the Russell Court hotel in June 08, When arriving it all looked very nice with nice looking reception area ect, Also when we arrived in the room it was a very nice size for a double room, At around 5pm there seemed to be a disco going on with a continuous thumping which pounded through our room (even though we was on the third floor) our room was over looking the back on the hotel where there is a drinking area, We went out for dinner every night to be welcomed back by very load music which finally finished around 3am. The hotel even supply ear plugs to their guests in the room!!!!!! At around 7 am we was woken every morning by builders working on the back of the hotel, The hotel is very nice looking but lets itself down with the unacceptable load music every night!!! Id love to return to Dublin again however would never stay at this hotel again.

"didn`t know we were coming!"

hotel had no booking for us on arrival lucky enough they had vacant rooms. on departure i was asked for 192 euros to settle bill had to show confirmation of payment through yourselves. we have stayed at this hotel 4 times now but this was the 1st time booking through you and on reflection may not book with you again due to poor communication between you and hotel. it should not be up to us to prove we have booked rooms through you when we booked this hotel 4 months before we arrived. it wasn`t even a last minute booking. i look forward to your reply.

"And I thought the ear plugs were a joke (I soon realised they weren`t) "

Do not let the posh decor and exterior fool you this was a hotel room from hell. Either side of the hotel are two night clubs. On returning to our room at 11pm we discovered the party was in full swing and continued through until 4.30am. The noise came from the street with drunk men and women chanting continuously outside. The single glazing was useless at keeping the noise out, this was partially due to seal being broken on the window. We also found the staff to be quite unwelcoming. (perhaps they had, had as little sleep as we had due to party gooing through the night) I would not recommend this hotel as it was like being on an 18-30`s holiday!!!!!

"Excellent value for money. "

I had booked a triple room so expected a double with a single bed squeezed in. We were pleasantly surprised when our room had 2 double beds, a dressing room and large bathroom - more like a suite. As Bruce Springstein was appearing in Dublin the evening we wanted to stay, we found it difficult to book a hotel in Dublin 1 so we had to stay in Dublin 2 and expected lots of walking. Again, we were plesed that the hotel was within easy walking distance of many attractions. The night club was noisy but we had been warned. The hotel thoughtfully provided earpugs. Lively hotel and larger than expected!. Downside - full Irish breakfast was poor and the vegetarian option was 2 eggs and a tomato - no hash browns, beans, mushrooms but that would definitely not stop us from going back again.

"The earplugs in the bathroom are not a joke."

You really do need earplugs if your room is at the front of this hotel. The noise level on music nights is appalling, mainly from people outside coming and going. We thought we were safe on a Tuesday night but it continued until 4 am and started again with a beer barrel delivery / collection at 6am. Rooms are large and comfortable but showing signs of wear and tear and there is currently no car park. Breakfast is indifferent but staff friendly. The big plus is the cost and the fact that you are minutes from the heart of Dublin.

"Noise from creaking floor in bedroom above as people walked around"

In general we were quite happy with the standard of the room which was nice and clean. We found the reception staff pleasant and polite. The breadkfast was good but a smile from the waitresses would have been a pleasant start to the day in light of the fact that Ireland prides itself on its hospitality.

"Very good"

I was apprehensive regarding hotel choice as many of the ones I had looked at on the internet (within my budget) had received bad reviews. The Russell Court however was a lovely clean hotel, and staff were very friendly. The rates per night were very good for city centre Dublin especially considering that this included a full Irish breakfast. The hotel bar is very good on a Thursday night but there was no problem with noise from the rooms which I know was a major concern at some other places. Definitely would stay here again.

"Great location, room was great for relaxing in after a hard days shopping =]"

Excellent decoration and room size! Lovely views and so close to all the best restuarants and shops it`s unbeliveable! Right next to St. Stephens Green, it`s also really easy to find, just go to the end of Grafton Street and go right past St. Stephens Green and it`s straight ahead of you! Some noise at night, but room provides you with ear plugs which my other half found uselful! The noise didn`t bother me though. Toiletries and towels provided! Great! Lovely reception staff and housekeeping staff! Only, watch out if coming back at nighttime, slightly unfriendly security guards will not let you in without a key and your room number. Apart from that, really enjoyed our stay! And will definitely come back again!

"everything about this hotel is good "

my sixth visit to Dublin 3 times i have stayed at this hotel, i have reccomended to all of my friends and contacts, i will continue to use the russell ct all the time, great value, excellent facilities, clean and in excellent order. As part of the facilities residents should have free access to the night club, a charge was being made. I hope room 19 does not get converted to an office like room 18 opposite !!

"Excellent value for money in a great capitol city"

The Hotel is situated close to St Stephens Green, Grafton Street and a 5 minute walk to the Temple bar area . The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean / comfortable and the Irish breakfast was great. This Hotel is on a busy street for pedestrians and has a few nightclubs within close proximity, this can lead to some noise in the early hours but nothing to be concerned about. The Hotel has its own nightclub and a great Bear Garden which offers good food at a reasonable price. Overall i would recommend this Hotel and would not hesitate to stay here in the future.

"A warm and friendly hotel in the centre of Dublin "

Overall a great hotel Rooms were very clean with nice decor. Bathroom was spacious and comfortable. The rooms were a good temperature also. The breakfast was very good, and the restaurant was great. The hotel was very lively at night, which was great for us. Diceys garden was packed both nights with a great selection of music. The staff couldn`t be more helpful I would recommend the Russell Court to anyone.
