Everything was very good, we had a very enjoyable stay; even when our car would not start when we were leaving; my wife went to the front desk and was given an assurance that a member of staff would jump start the battery, very accessible by the tram system.
Would happily stay again
Excellent room and food in convenient location for city centre. Tram right outside front door to centre of city and handy for all attractions. Staff friendly and helpful. Car parking in garage also very useful
This is my third stay at the Ashling. The hotel facilities including helpful professional staff, food, cleanliness of bedding and rooms all excellent. I have a special dietary requirement which is no problem to them. The location is on good public transport routes, including the Airport bus which stops opposite the hotel within 30 minutes of leaving the airport.. The City Centre is also within walking distance if one prefers to walk. There are lots of local bars, pubs offering good food around the hotel vicinity. I would not wish to stay anywhere else if I go again - it ticks all the boxes ! Well done to all at the ASHLING !!
highly recommended! great service from arriving till leaving!
The hotel was lovely inside. Our room had everything we needed and was very spacious. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We will definately be back :)
excellent
Really enjoyed my overnight stay, wished my stay had been longer. Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and great food. Would definately stay there again.
A nice hotel, in a convenient location.
Room was basic but the bed was comfortable
Would highly reccommend this hotel, perfect location to explore Dublin city.
We found the Ashling excellent, staff friendly and helpful, large clean modern rooms,( view not that great though), it was a quiet and perfect place to stay away from the lively town but with easy travel by tram, 5 min walk from hotel for tram stop. Didn`t eat in restaurant except breakfast which was a little expensive but very good. Not much happening in evenings but they have a perfect bar for a quiet drink after being in town. Would stay again if we went to Dublin for another weekend.
One of the best hotels in Dublin, even better if you can get a river Liffey outlook room.
Found Hotel very good, 20 mins walk to City centre,Tram stop 150 yards from Hotel and Bus stop and Train Station just 150 yards from Hotel.Upgraded room to Superior Luxury room for very little extra cost and found same to be excellent value. Food was very good especially breakfast, and last but not least found Staff very helpful and good humored especially Cara at front desk.
A 15 min walk into the town, but 5minute tram journey
The hotel itself scored highly in my opinion except for the food smell which was constantly in my 1st floor room after consutation with front desk staff saying it would be checked out (Maybe it was but was still there the whole weekend)
Bar staff need to have knowledge training regarding types of drinks, and customer service in this area leaves a lot to be desired.
Enjoyed our stay and found the hotel ideal for access to Dublin centre by tram. It was quiet and very comfortable.
Outstanding hotel where staff were thoughtful, considerate, helpful and friendly. We came for the rugby but will be back to visit Dublin again and will DEFINATELY stay at the AShling. Thank you for making our visit so special.
Excellent service and ideally situated with tram, buses and station within a few metres walk.
Just returned from a lovely weekend break at the Ashling. Excellent location across the road from Heuston Station and the efficient tram direct to city centre in 10 mins. Breakfast was excellent and we ate in the hotel bar on first night and the restuarant second night, both brilliant. Staff very friendly and hastle free check in. Would recommend in total confidence.
Beautiful rooms, excellent service,, wonderful breakfast. Over all an excellent hotel!
Lovely, spacious bedroom with an excellent bathroom/shower. Quality of food was extremely good and typical in Ireland; very plentiful! I had a couple of problems, inasmuch my TV did not work properly and my key card for the door failed on 2 of the 4 days I stayed. These problems were very quickly remedied, but I felt I was frequently approaching reception to point out a problem, albeit minor! One thing that really struck me was that the hotel`s frontline staff never really smiled or appeared happy in what they were doing! I thought this odd, considering the hotel`s service is with people and it seemed at odds with the general warmth and great friendliness I encountered within the rest of Dublin/Ireland! The hotel is only 4 steps on the LUAS (trams) from the heart of the city and this makes it very accessible. I generally enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would recommend it to those who desire an affordable city-break in one of Europe`s loveliest and friendliest cities.
Very pleasent hotel, good food, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, good for airport route. Thanks, would stay there again.
It is a very handy location. Just acroos the road from Heuston Station with regular trams & buses to the city centre and airport. Although the station is close it not noisy or too busy. There is also a few nice bars, cafes and shops nearby. The rooms are quite spacious and very clean. The rstauarant serves good quality meals to suit most tastes. The bar is very comfortable. The prices are very reasonable, no more costly than the local bars & restaurants pubs. The service isalso good & I would have no hesitation in staying at the hotel on any future visits.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ashling Hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotel which has just undergone a refurbishment is lovely inside, the bedroom spacious and the bed was very comfortable, in fact I had the best 3 nights sleep I have had in a long time. It is conveniently located just outside the City Centre, about a 20 minute walk along the River Liffey or you can get the Lumas Tram which runs right past the hotel. We bought a 3 days Dublin Bus Pass which was very useful as you can catch any of the buses and the Tour Bus also stopped outside the Hotel. All in all a very pleasant stay, I would highly recommend this Hotel for anyone to stay when they are in Dublin
We had a great time at the hotel, everything clean, staff lovely, breakfast brilliant. Our only annoyance was that we were charged different amounts when we purchased drinks from the bar. The order was always the same one guiness and one rose wine but the prices varied depending on who served you. Found it rather frustrating to be charged varying prices depending what till button was pressed for the wine
excellent clean and pleasant bedroom and bathroom, no noise and good nights sleep. Our only fault with the hotel was the breakfast which was quite tastless.
The friendly staff did everything they could for an enjoyable experience. The amenities, breakfast, restaurant and bar were all excellent. I cannot rate this hotel high enough, it was so good. Even to the point that I forgot to pack any disposable razors and they even provided that!. The full breakfast was excellent. The only thing that puzzled me is why the hotel is rated as three star, I think it should be five star. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay.
