Room was clean but quite tired. Smelt quite badly of damp which seemed to come from a badly water damaged bathroom floor .breakfast was seriously lacking as continental - only meat was processed ham, only fruit was tinned pears and only bread was white. I`ve seen basic but this was quite sad. To top it all it wasn`t even near the theatre!! I`ll stick with a Travelodge next time!
Good location. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom could have been better maintained but having said that all in working order. . Breakfast menu could be improved. Great price though. Would consider again. Hotel reception very professional and helpful
My friend and I loved our stay at Astor Court. The beds were comfy. The room was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. We took a cab to the theatre, but found the location to be very central to the train and shops.
Food, cleanliness, facility Food, situation and comfort, cleanliness all excellent. The noisy lift is a problem during daytime. One small problem on the bathroom sink is that the plug mechanism is not functioning.
Nice clean room . Bed uncomfortable as it`s too hard and needs a mattress cover. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast was poor, tinned fruit! Rolls hard and stake.
Nice and clean, a little creaky and I could hear the rumbling of the underground which was strangely therapeutic!! Good value for a theatre break.
No faults what so ever about the hotel. Room was even bigger than expected. Breakfast was brilliant! There was a bit of building going on but it didn`t affect our sleep.
Hotel was very nice but constant noise from the underground trains let it down.
The hotel staff, room and service was just perfect. Will be back.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. Hotel beautifully clean, staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again and I would highly recommend!
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Astor in a lovely room for three - we were delighted to find 3 single beds rather than the usual double plus single, so no-one had to share beds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage from early on Day 1 til late in Day 2 so that we didn`t have to carry it around. Easy walking brought us to Oxford Street to enjoy the Christmas shops. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. What more could we have asked? Highly recommended
Only good thing about it is the location. In all other respects - awful. Rooms are terribly dated and basic, the bathrooms are a joke and worst of all - all day and night you hear the London Underground running underneath your room, with constant din and vibration. Worst hotel I`ve stayed in London in over 25 years. Avoid at all costs.
A pleasant nights stay, very pleasant helpful staffordable. Only negative was the noise from the lift in our downstairs room
The hotel was lovely. The staff were more than helpful, The breakfast was superb. What more can say.
Great location. comfortable and clean hotel. Good continental breakfast.
Won`t stay at this hotel again, rooms very tired and need upgrading, don`t expect a good nights sleep as beds are very uncomfortable and desperately need new mattresses. Can hear noise from the underground too... Good points : Lovely front of desk staff and breakfast really good. Within walking distance to menu attractions & shopping.
Breakfast was a bit lacking in variety but was adequate - also a bit of a squeeze in the dining room
Hotel was clean and room nice.Seperate toilet and bathroom is good but it could have done with a small wasbasin in the toilet .
Room very warm and couldn`t open windows as on ground floor. Very clean and staff friendly. Breakfast room could be bigger as queued for breakfast.
Room quite small- no ventilation in bathroom which made showering uncomfortable.
Clean and sufficient for the short night stay.
Practical rooms. Lift to all floors except breakfast room. Clean and comfortable.
Nice spacious clean room on ground floor in a good location 5 mins from Oxford St Only negative was the layout at breakfast although the room was light and airy it was too small when busy but the continental breakfast was fine
Hotel was nice however our room was old fashioned and the tv didn`t work. The rooms were grumpy and the towels had stains after a wash. I was pleased with the breakfast and I felt the staff were helpful and welcoming. It made do for a couple of nights and the location was perfect.
Good sized rooms, bit disappointed that we requested three single beds in each and had a double and single-not ideal for 3 ladies but we managed! It was very hot weather so one room really hot - fans in them would be appreciated. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient.
Had a very comfortable room. I would like to stay again later in the summer but on enquiry found that they do not provide air conditioning. This will not suit my American guest if the weather is hot then.
All staff were very friendly and helpfull.
Booked for 2 nights, upon arrival everything was fine, bath is disgusting it`s needs to be replaced! Throughout the night, constantly itched in the bed, couldn`t wait to get home. Can hear every little noise. Wouldn`t stay here again
I had booked a quadruple room and was delighted to find we had 2 rooms in an apartment style area. A twin and a double. All very comfortable, nice big towels, good shower...everything we needed to make our stay complete. Breakfast was simple but plentiful, if you are a decaf drinker like me bring a sachet from your room as they do not have any in the breakfast room and I was told I should have brought it with me!!!
Our three single bedded room was very nice and very clean and cosy. Our only negative points were that we did not find the beds too comfy and the pillows are rather hard. Also at breakfast if it`s busy there is not a lot of room to move around the tables. Apart from this we thought the hotel was very accommodating and staff nice and friendly.
Offered us just what we needed. Would stay again.
Plug sockets need to be in better places, had to put the kettle on the floor to boil it! Be aware, the tube line runs right underneath but still overall quite nice.
good hotel, very comfortable. nice breakfast also. superb location
Lovely comfortable room with everything we wanted. Staff were also lovely and so helpful. Breakfast offered a wide choice and had everything that we wanted - those wanting an "all day" English fryup that leaves you with "all day" indigestion might be disappointed but we had meuseli, fruit juice, fruit salad, yogurt, croissants, pain o chocolat, six kinds of bread and bread-rolls, ham, cheese, eggs, toast, butter, jam and teas and coffees aplenty. For me the wonderful staircase in brass and wrought iron epitomised this hotel which will definitely use again. I had the three best nights sleep in the past 12 months at The Astor Court which is situated very conveniently for the tube and has Oxford Street within easy walking distance. Thank you Astor Court - see you again very soon.
