We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the room to be at a very good standard. The location is good for central london and the tube station is really close. I thought the staff were very helpful and friendly.

No complaints. Food was good, room clean and bed comfortable, Staff friendly and helpful. Well located. Spa treatment was very nice!

One of our party had problems with a row betweeen gyests in the early hours. The management tried their best to interverne- so the problem is with the guests. The meal we had on the friday night through the top table scheme was far better than iIwas expecting.

I was really pleased with this hotel. Doesn`t look much from the outside but once inside the staff are really friendly & very helpful. The rooms were really nice. We was very lucky and was upgrade to a suite. It`s very clean & much bigger than it looks from outside. The location is excellant with only a maximum 10 minute walk down the road you are at Oxford Street with Selfridges right on the corner. I stayed with 5 other people & we were all very impressed. Would definately stay here again.

everything about the sherlock holmes was fantastic ...it was clean....beautifuly decorated.....and only a few stops away from piccadilly and leicester square etc would stay there again

All in alll we had a lovely stay, the staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble.The decor was lovely, and our room was great and very clean.If your thinking of staying a must is to try the cocktails, the sherlock martine was simply divine. The only fault was the booking in,it states on that 2pm you have your room,but we had to wait until 3pm,I think a complementry drink should have been offered at least, for the wait, also when we asked about use of the sauna(which is included in the price) it was stated that it may or may not be open in the morning? Just a little attention to these things would have made it a perfect stay. None the less will be useing the hotel again, the location was also great,we walked from padditon staition, and if you dont like walking the tube was just around the corner, with londons tourist sites very close. 8 out of 10.

The hotel is well positioned and all parts of London are easily reached from Baker street. The bar is cosy and inviting with a good bar menu. REALLY disappointed that they only have Japanese beer on tap and no English beers. They lost lots of revenue from us as we ended up going elsewhere to watch soccer and eat and drink "pub style". Rooms looked fine but were inconvenient. The bed looked modern but squeeked at every move. The TV was so small that it was unwatchable from the bed (thank goodness we had a suite and a sofa to sit on). Service was excellent and food in the resteraunt and bar were also good. I would re-book next trip.

Asked to change room, this was done very quickly - but we did note view the new room until we returned to the hotel late evening -still glass door and wall but en suite off set therefore not viewed directly from bedroom, but window of bedroom looked onto brick wall and we experienced noise from hotels extractor system which was outside the window of our room M4. We had an early appointement so had no time to give out comments on checkout.

It was unfortunate, but having arrived in my room and unpacked everything I noticed a pool of water on the floor of the bathroom, which was dripping through the ceiling from above. Staff arrived very promptly to check the situation and decided that it would be better to move me to another room, which was frustrating for me as I was needing to get onto the internet and had a lot of work to do, instead of packing up all my things. I know the hotel was very busy that night, so I was trying to be understanding, but felt a little miffed that the new room I was allocated was smaller than the previous one with a big crack in the sink and the airconditioning wasn`t working. Having said that it was adequate, but not what I would consider good value for money

I would definately recommend this hotel to family and friends

The overall impression of the hotel was a bit dissapointing when comparing the actual to the images from the brochures. The room was a bit smaller than expected and some of the fittings were a bit worn. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. The staff were efficient but not over friendly. At £225 per room per night I thought it was poor value for money and would not stay there again.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and bright but could have been better arranged, it was very difficult to view the TV. The only vantage point was the bed and you ended up with a crick in your neck! Your designer needs to rethink the layout!

The hotel was very comfortable, rooms lovely, and v good value for discounted offer from Hotel Direct. They responded to our request for a larger, quiet room too which was great help to my pregnant room mate! Unfortunately one of our guests had very unpleasant experience in the hotel bar toilets due to a peeping tom and cctv in the hotel did not cover the area - staff`s reaction was also not as supportive as I would have liked for my very distressed friend - a dampner on what was, on all other accounts, a very nice place to stay.

Full English Breakfast OK but plates need to be heated not cold. Housekeeping a little slack but reception staff soon sorted all problems quickly

I enjoyed my trip to london but was a bit disappointed by the room it had paint peeling off walls the bath was chipped and there was a loose tile iun the bathroom and also almost fell over on a few occasions with the carpet on the the wood floor, was very slippery. Also told that breakfast was included in the room by receptionist when we arrived only to find out when we checked out that it wasnt.

The hotel was clean, well located and the staff quite friendly. There were are few problems with rooms. One of our party changed rooms 3 times and i was given the key to the wrong room which was already occupied. Fortunitly no one was in when i let myself into thier room - could have been very embarrassing!! The bed was really comfortable and it was great to not have to check out until 12. We weren`t expecting breakfast - so we were pleasently surprised when we got a lovely, filling continental breakfast.

Nice hotel, clean and stylish. Rooms were nice but lacked some practicality - simple things like no mirror near to a plug socket for the hair dryer, lighting a bit dim for shaving/ putting on make-up etc, shower not the best. I certainly wouldn`t complain about these things though as overall it was an enjoyable stay. Oh, also you have to walk through a smokey bar area to access the hotel reception and rooms.
