fantastic hotel really clean staff very helpfull best hotel ive stopped in
Services were good, room clean and tidy but I did find that the towels (not the hand towels) were not suitable for use after I had a bath/shower. They were quite small!!
Great friendly staff, good breakfast, nice clean rooms. Only complaint no hot water early in the morning and duvets could be alittle longer. I am only 5ft 5" and my feet got cold!!
This hotel was lovely it was close enough to the city centre to walk without being right in the middle of everything. All staff were very friendly and helpful. On a negative noteI the pillows were quite hard, and the shower was difficult to work, and a waste of water as the water still came out of the tap and the shower head. However overall our stay was very nice and I would recomend this hotel to anyone travelling to Dublin.
We stayed recently in the Grand Canal Hotel and found it to be just within walking distance of the city centre. The staff were friendly and approchable. The bar was well run and although the food was not of the highest quality it was affordable.
This was an ideal venue for our visit, very close to the airport bus stop, not too far from the town centre and the staff on reception were all very knowledgeable and helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Dublin.
Good friendly staff and good bar nextdoor, but single beds are small, and the divet covers are even small. Almost unusable
hotel a good twenty mins walk from temple street. when we arrived we had been upgraded free of charge. room exellent. staff very helpfull and breakfast brill... would go back
I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions as it is close by to family members. The staff are always pleasant and helpful, the breakfast and bar food good and the rooms and bathroom facilities always clean and tidy. The town is a 15-20 minute walk away, the Dart (railway station close by) and the buses to town are also close by. The hotel also has a car park if we bring our car.
Great Location, excellent breakfast and helpful staff. Would stay again.
The reception staff were brilliant, I lost my bag on the coach and they were very helpful in getting it back. The food in Gasworks and in the hotel restaurant was very good and excellent Value for Money. I will definately recommend to my colleagues and friends
The hotel was perfect for what we wanted. In a quiet area but still only a 10-15 min walk into the main shopping/eating areas. Nice rooms and good breakfasts, also really close to the DART so you can take a trip down the coast too. All round good hotel.
The hotel is very easy to find and is in a good location from the city centre, no more than a 10 minute walk to Grafton Street/Trinity College. Check in was very effecient. The rooms were comfortably furnished, we had a twin on the third floor, and included hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Beds were comfy. Good reception on all the TV channels. Plenty of room and shelf space in the bathroom and good water pressure. Breakfast was excellent - cereals, fruit, pastries and a variety of hot options. Plenty of bar facilities (with SKY and setanta) and comfortable communal areas. Very helpful and friendly staff. I would stay again and would recommend to friends visitng Dublin.
Excellent location. Very clean, modern hotel with very friendly service. Thank-you.
Great hotel, only 10 min walk away from Grafton Street and the shops or for concerts only 10 mins away in the other direction. Staff helpful, rooms clean and spacious. would recommend as I`ve stayed twice already
First impression - EXCELLENT!! Just a short walk from the RDS. Staff both helpful and friendly. Will definitely be returning to the Grand Canal Hotel in the future
Hotel not very old so all areas are modern and clean and rooms quiet.Good value for money.Has restaurant, coffee bar and bar attached.(This was our 3rd time here.)
Excellant hotel, facilities and restaurant great. Friendly staff. Once you know your way around 15 minutes walk to the centre of Dublin. Would certainly visit again.
Really clean hotel, the staff are really friendly and willing to help with any quieries about the hotel or with the local area you have, I will return to this hotel on my next visit to Dublin.
Very friendly and helpful staff for whom ensuring things were right for my elderly mother who cannot walk far was not a trouble. good location. would certainly come back again
bar / pub rather lacking in comparison to the hotel which is fantastic however close location to centre of town so easy to eat away from hotel bar
Room fine, breakfast OK. Pity bar closed so early and found it strange that residents could not order drinks. Room service finishing far too early!
very comfortable
HOTEL WAS NICE BUT WE THOUGHT WE WOULD BE NEARER TO CITY THAN WHAT WE WERE.ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND BREAKFAST OKAY ON FIRST MORNING.ON THE SUNDAY WE WENT FOR BREAKFAST AT 10.15 AM AFTER BEING TOLD THAT IT WAS UNTIL 11 AND EVERYTHING APART FROM CEREAL WAS AWAY.WE HAD TO ASK FOR EVERYTHING .WHY SAY 11 AND CLEAR UP BEFORE 10.30
nice place to stay, but more than a 15 minute walk saying that taxi s were about 10 euros each way.
Excellent. Would definately recommend to others.
Overall the hotel offers everything you would need for your stay and is in a great location not to far from the city centre....The only thing I would say thou is that the towels you provide in the bathroom are on the small size??. Really enjoyed my stay and will be back soon.
When we arrived very tired and hungry, the receptionist could not have been more welcoming. Bombarded with a milion and one questions from me and my travelling companion, she was able to offer her advice and it was apparent she was very knowledgeable about the city. We were made to feel very welcome. The hotel itself was very clean, the room was always cleaned to a very high standard but perhaps more importantly for two females travelling alone, we felt very secure.
we have stayed in Dublin before and had a great time, the grand cannal hotel helped it become a fantastic time
Clean, efficient, quiet, excellent value for money. I travel frequently all over the globe and can honestly say that this is one of only three places (the others being farmhouse B&B`s near Belfast and Exeter, and I`m keeping them secret!) that I would positively recommend for business or tourism, and intend to use again - everywhere else, from Brisbane to Phoenix, Hyatt to hostel, was a necessary inconvenience, but a night at the Grand Canal was an actual pleasure - I suspect the designers and the owners have stayed there themselves. Dinner service in the Gasworks restaurant was hit-and-miss but the food was honest and unpretentious, and breakfast was perfect.
