We would stay again without hesitation. the only slight downside which could well be a one off during our one night stay, was the under staffed resteraunt during the breakfast rush.
We found this hotel to be excellent, having been recently refurbished to a high standard. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, and the breakfast was delicious. We shall certainly again.
We enjoyed our stay at The Kensington. The hotel is in a good location and is very well fitted throughout. Our room, although on the small side , was very nice and had a large flat screen tv with all the freeview channels. The continental breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and attentive service. All in all, we would recommend this hotel and will be staying there again in the future.
Excellent in all departments, almost perfect apart from used towelling robe hanging behind bathroom door missed by house keeping and an extra towel for third person in the room had not been provided. Service just right, would definitely stay again, very luxurious and quiet with wonderful breakfast
The staff, however, were excellent. The hotel was sufficient for a one night stay but I don`t think we shall use it again.
It is very refreshing to find an hotel at a sensible price in london, with good staff, excellent breakfast, very nice bar and Free Intenet !
Staff very pleasant and polite - overall good hotel - would just say that bedrooms could do with refurbishing i.e. wallpaper coming off in some places and carpets a bit "old and tired" looking
The hotel was fully booked. The hotel provided me an additional hotel to stay in but was miles away.
Overall an excellent experience. Good location - just under 5 minutes from South Kensington tube station. Had a single room which was rather small - bathroom was nearly as big as the bedrrom - but was well decorated and clean with good facilities, although a couple of extra tea bags woud have been nice! Bar and restaurant areas were both very pleasant and cosy, but clean and well staffed. All staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was really excellent. Would definitely use again.
Hotel is in ideal location possibly in need of modernisation. Continental breakfast was good. Only adverse comment relates to noise in the bedroom.
All the staff were helpfull and freindly with a smile(nice change for London) I will be staying with you again.
Great location, very nice staff - only problem was a poor shower in my room
THE STAFF AT THE HOTEL WERE VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AND WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN. BREAKFAST FANTASTIC, VALUE FO MONEY.
excellent for visiting musuems and close to the tube, can be a bit noisy in the morning ref traffic, hotel clean and staff very friendly
Staff very friendly and effiecient. Only bad thing is the restaurant which was expensive and not good quality. Eat at one of the many surrounding restaurants instead!
The hotel was very helpful as we were able to leave our luggage before check-in and after checking out so we did not have to struggle with this whilst touring around the city centre. The breakfast was also very nice and gave us a good variety.
We have stayed at hotels in this price bracket before but none have been as good as this. The room and breakfast were of a high standard and the staff were friendly and helpful. It`s hard to find hotels with good family rooms but we can recommend this one.
I stayed in Jurys Kensington with my husband and two children for 5 nights in August 07. Excellent hotel with really good transports links. Underground in 3 minute walk from hotel on the Picadilly line. We were v. pleased with the family room provided, a v. good size with plenty of sleeping space for children. Breakfast was hearty and to a v. good standard. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. In all an excellent hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most certainly book Jurys Kensington for our next visit to London.
We couldn`t fault the hotel. The family room we had was clean and spacious. Nice touches included bath robes, bottled water and an ironing board. The staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The only negative thing I could say about this hotel is the standard of decoration/repair of the room could have been higher for a 4 star hotel.Apart from that it was excellent.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful - from the moment I arrived in the taxi. My room was small, but perfectly adequate for my needs - did get some noise from the lift which was directly opposite the room - can`t do much about the construction of the building though! The hotel seemed comfortable and had a calm , relaxed atmosphere . The curtain didn`t quite cover the window completely - so daylight crept into my room a little earlier than I wanted it to! Pleasantly surprised to find `Continental breakfast` was actually a full English breakfast, which was very welcome.
Really enjoyed stay at Jurys Kensington. Staff were friendly and pleasant, room adequate but very warm. Would definitely recommend and intend to stay again soon.
Whlst downstairs was very nice, we were disappointed with our room. For a 4 start hotel in a smart part of London, we were surprised to see wall paper peeling away from the ceiling and the wall in a couple of spots. Also, we had requested a family room - in fact we got a (small) double room with a camp bed - OK for one night, but not very comfortable (he ended up in bed with us!). Little things like only 2 cups / glasses could easily have made us feel more welcome as a family. Also receptionist found it hard to deal with us as we hadn`t brought our credit card with us - we only wanted to pay £8 in cash to upgrade to a full english breakfast! Also £9.60 for 2 teas and 1 diet pepsi a little on the steep side. On the positive - great breakfast, helpful concierge and a fantastic location to visit natural history/science and v&a museums. Would stay there again just because of the location (hopefully next time no peeling wallpaper!)
