Breakfast good

Breakfast could be better - more variety of cereals needed, fresh fruit was old and wrinkled. Bathroom was tiny, customer service left a lot to be desired. Other than that, it was quite clean and fairly comfortable.

Lovely hotel, centrally situated. Helpful and very friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable.Good choice for breakfast.

Need to alert cabbies to your existence, they do not know you exist, spent ages getting there

Only stayed one night but hotel was very clean, staff friendly and very good breakfast. Good location would stay again.

Considering what you could pay for a London stay, this is good value for money. All fine, although at times, in the shower room / toilet we could smell the drains, so needed to pour water in the shower trap. Didn`t spoil our stay, and it wouldn`t put us off staying here again.

Beautiful hotel looks lovely even when walking up the street. Very clean . smells lovely as soon as you open the main door to go in. Staff very friendly .room nice and clean. I would defiantly go back there no faults what so ever. Just a great little hotel.

This is a bargain price hotel therefore the review will relate to price. The hotel has a good location minutes away from tube. The staff are pleasant and presentable. The room we were in although small was clean and functional for our needs . The breakfasts were basic and plentiful. It`s a basic hotel that hasn`t disappointed us for the money.

No pretentions from this hotel, it is at the top of the `budget` hotel range. Clean, comfortable, good staff at a competitive price. I will stay there every time I am in town.

Lovely hotel, breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly. The only thing was that the room temperature was always so hot, we had to leave the windows wide open all night, otherwise I`d stay again.

The hotel staff were lovely, it was clean rooms looked great. However our room was next to the vents and it was ridiculously noisy at night and I barely sleep an hour.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot water, great facilities, good breakfast, ideal location for tubes and sightseeing. Would stay there again.

Room was freezing cold especially bathroom. Bathroom had masking tape sealing the window. Bedroom provided with small electrical heater and a very old blanket! Staff very friendly, generally clean and tidy good location and good continental breakfast.

Good value and helpful staff. All u need in room. Breakfast buffet is good. Only negative comment is that the coffee has unusual taste!

The hot towel rail didn`t work so towels ended up being damp. There was no plug in the sink. The staff in the restaurant part were ok, and also those on reception.

Every aspect of the hotel makes for a comfortable, quiet, convenient stay, I will in all probability stay there again in the future.

Very clean but frayed around the edges. Staff helpful. Further from the centre of London than expected so travel to the theatre was costly.

Staff were very friendly. Excellent location and very close to mainline stations Booking was easy and the whole package was reasonably priced. Room wasn`t huge but was more than adequate as a base to explore from. Breakfast was good too. Would definitely return.

Room very clean reception staff friendly, breakfast quite good however we ordered tea and toast and it took along time to arrive while others we been served theirs who came in after us. We had to ask again and eventually it arrived. Toast was cold and tea lukewarm. We asked asked the waitress for more tea alas it never arrived!!! We felt ignored quite frankly. Probably wouldn`t go back because of this.

The hotel and room (a good size) were good and clean and more than I expected was provided. The staff were obliging and cheerful - they looked happy to be there. The only criticism I have is that the restaurant for breakfast is too small.

Although clean, room was very very small, less than one foot on one side and at Base of bed. Bathroom ok but tired. Food limited, mold on one slice of bread!!! Would we stay there again? Probably not.

Our room was on the fifth floor and the second day, the ultra modern lift broke down. It was so ultra modern that repairs required a level of mechanical ability that was apparently beyond the scope of the local mechanics. We had booked fourteen days at The Byron and after very warm days of lengthy sight-seeing, the climb to our aerie was not a pleasant prospect. To the hotel`s credit, they provided a room one floor up that meant trips to the dining room (good breakfast, very pleasant staff) and down for the tube and up for recovery at the end of a day and before a night out: all those ups and downs were now manageable. The lift was repaired the day before we left. The rooms are a bit small, but perfectly adequate and well maintained by the staff. The location is good and the neighbourhood quiet and civil. Whoever was at the front desk was pleasant and helpful.

A nice stay. "Basic" but pleasant and well-appointed. Staff very helpful, continental breakfast was excellent - not just "croissants and grapefruit" but cold meats and the full works. Plenty of shops etc in the local area, and good transport links (bus, underground) into central London. I would stay again.

Sink in a cupboard noisy fans outside room so small nowhere to put cases spoilt our holiday Breakfast was fine as it was continental.My sister bought this break for my birthday and she was very disappointed

Great reception and breakfast staff. Hotel looks nice from outside and was in great location for our needs. Bedroom a little small with double bed against wall and bathroom was a little dated. Air con great on hottest day of the year.
