Fantastic location. Not directly on La Rambla but only a 5 minute walk away (so not too noisy or overcrowded). Close to shops, transport (including airbus). The hotel room i stayed in was a triple room. It seemed like the rooms were newly refurbished. Very spacious, clean, modern, a lot of storage space. The bathroom was excellent (seperate bath and shower). The staff at reception were very helpful offering advice about things to do in the area, giving discounts for clubs and restaurants. Very friendly. There is a secure place to keep your luggage when checking in/out. There is even a swimming pool on the terrace with some beautiful views of barcelona. This hotel was not expensive considering the service, location and the rooms. I will definatly recommend this hotel to my friends and family and stay here again. I hope this review helps.

We really enjpyed our stay. Excellent position, room, breakfast and most of all staff. Unfortunately we both had our wallets stolen in the streets of Barcelona but the hotel receptiion staff could not have been more helpful.

My husband and I stayed here for a 3 night break away to Barcelona. When we arrived at the hotel our check in was very efrficient and the receptionist gave us a map and showed us where the nearest metro stations were which was very helpful. The room was very clean and modern and ideal for our needs as we were out and about for most of the day.The hotel has a bar which looked really nice although we didn`t use it. The hotel was ideally located just off Las Ramblas and really close to a metro station. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel was perfect in every way :) it was clean and modern, staff were friendly and very helpful. Location excellent very central to shops and restaurants.Italian restaurant close to hotel recommended by hotel staff was very reasonable and delicious. Sorry I wasn`t able to try out the hotels roof pool as stayed at christmas but plan to return in the summer and try it out :). This was my first trip to Barcelona and I throughly enjoyed it. Hotel also only a short walk from where we got off the airport bus in Barcelona another added bonus. :)))

We stayed in a triple room and had loads of space, proper beds, quiet room. The receptionists were efficient and helpful, and the breakfast staff were great. The hotel is 5 mins walk from where the airport bus stops in Placa Catalunya, so a very convenient location at the top of Las Ramblas - far enough away from the tourist traps but close enough to walk to the Gothic Quarter and Sagrada Familia. I`ll definitely stay in this hotel again.

Couldn`t fault this hotel. Excellent location near to Cataluyna Square at the top of Las Ramblas. The rooms were lovely, clean and modern. Breakfast was very good with a choice of hot and cold food. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was excellent. Great location about 5 mins walk from the top of la ramblas. Friendly, helpful and easy going staff. Triple rooms were very spacious and clean. Booked as part of 12 friends travelling together and would definately book again.

Recently stayed at the Jazz Hotel, Barcelona for 4 nights and would highly recommend it. We were fortunate enough to get an upgrade to a larger corner room but the standard rooms are more than large enough for two people. It is in an excellent location with a metro station entrance right on the doorstep and Placa De Catalunya and the top of La Ramblas only a short walk away. If I have to point out anything negative it would be that the choice of food for room service is very limited and they do not have an evening restaurant but, being as you are so close to everything, you do not have to go far to find some excellent food. The only other thing I would point out to people thinking of staying here is that, because of the central location, the area can be quite noisy into the early hours so, for those looking for a quiet break away from the hustle and bustle of city life, look further out of town.

Just lovely. No frills, but exactly what you want from a city centre hotel. I`d go back tomorrow

Well situated Hotel (5 mins walk to The Ramblas) with excellent facilities. Hotel clean and comfortable. Pool and sunterrace a real bonus when you`ve walked the streets of Barcelona. All staff were helpful and friendly particularly the barman in the cocktail bar on the sunterrace. We stayed on a room only basis but there were plenty of places handy to eat breakfast and unlimiled choice of resturants for evening meal. We would definatly recommend Jazz Hotel.

I love Hotel Jazz for its location, 5 mins from Placa Catalunya, The cleanliness you cant fault and the staff are friendly and very helpful. You feel safe as it has 24 hour security and a safe for valuables in your room. It has a small roof top pool which is ideal when sightseeing gets too much. Single beds are spacious and it has a fridge, take your own kettle, eat out and you`re sorted.

Great location, good rooms and staff at the Reception Desk are particularly helpful - can`t beat it for the price. Would definitely go again.

My only negative comments are that when we arrived we could not get into our room until 3.45pm as they were still cleaning it (we were told when booking it would be 3pm), and the other was that they ran out of towels at the pool and although the lady said she would get some more they didn`t ever arrive so I used a bathroom towel. Other than that the Hotel was great!

Pool bar facilities would be better if available from pool opening time, instead of 1pm. It would also be an improvement if the pool opened earlier, for example at 9 instead of 10.

We would have rathered that breakfast had been included in the price as this was annoying to have to go outside to find a place particularly on the Sunday when places were closed.

The hotel was stylish, clean and modern with really freindly staff!!! The location was perfect for getting about seeing the beautiful city!!

Dont get off at the Metro stop that is advised - go one station further to UNIVERSITAT. When you get off, go up the stairs, turn 180 degrees and walk less than1 minute. The Jazz hotel is on your right hand side in between 2 roads, right next to a coffee shop and ice cream parlour.

Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff very friendly. Only complaint was that the bar shuts early if there is nobody in. We rushed back to have a drink in the hotel on Saturday night at 10.45pm and the bar was shut and they refused to reopen it for six of us.

the only thing my party and myself found was that coffee or tea facilities in the room would be an asset.Otherwise everything was perfect for our needs.

We found the hotel to be in a good location, your people were friendly and helpful and the room was excellent.

Only fault I could find, the breakfast food was luke warm ,ie bacon,sausage mushrooms, other than that we found hotel was good, very freindly staff

We stayed for 3 nights in Sept and had no complaints. The modern hotel had all amenities required and was well presernted throughout. We used it as a base and its location was excellent being close to the metro and touristic bus (the red route even has a stop about 50m from the hotel. The hotel entrance lies between two roads just in case you can`t find it easily. There was an excellent tapas bar in one corner of the university square nearby called cellar de tapas. Barcelona is a fantastic place to be - there is something for everyone.

Friendly, clean and comfortable.

We found our stay here enjoyable and comfortable but a couple of things need stating. My wife jammed her hand when sliding open the wardrobe doors. I`m sure this is not the first time this has happened, indeed I almost did it myself. I`m sure their is an easy answer. Little doorstops would stop the doors going so far and the handle would not jam your fingers. As a matter of housekeeping the standard lamp in room 701 has wires dangerously exposed at the top. This could cause a terrible accident. It should be fixed or removed. Lastly, we found the room service menu a bit limiting. Yours, Jim & Ray Downie

The Jazz was conviently situated to all the sights and local transport. The hotel provided an excellent buffet breakfast. The rooms were spacious and very clean. All services within the hotel were very good indeed. In fact -apart from a dodgy shower head this hotel is top of any we have stayed in and would strongly recommend it.
