My wife and I stayed at Harrington Hall for a mid-week break and found the hotel to be excellent value for money and in a very central location. The staff were informative and helpful and the room very clean. Due to its location in Harcourt street which has several nightclubs the hotel had the potential to be noisy. Upon checking in, I asked for a room at the back of the hotel and the receptionist was able to accommodate the request. I would book this hotel again.
only complaint was in the triple room, my bed next to the window was very cold and could have done with a supply of extra blankets
lovely hotel plesent staff and lovely breakfast . just too noisy at night taxi horns blasting and trafic perhaps a room at the back would have been very different.
My sister and i stayed at the Harrington Hotel last month for 3 nights. We had a very enjoyable time. The hotel is very central, just a walk from the shopping areas. We had a very comfortable room with a large bathroom. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed having a breakfast cooked to order instead of the usual buffet style on offer in large hotels. For value for money in an expensive city we found this hotel hard to beat. Everything you could need at a reasonable price. We would return and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean comfortable room within easy reach of the city center. Its near the airport bus stop too.
The hotel is charming with a homey feel to it. All the staff are VERY friendly and helpful.
Nice rooms, good service, shame about the breakfast.
Good location and car parking is a real bonus. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a little Italian restaurant just yards from the hotel which is excellent for dinner as the hotel offers only breakfast. Room was clean and contained everything needed for a short stay. Would use this hotel again.
Small but adequate rooms on the 3rd floor(room nos 35 and 36) But our stay was spoilt by the noise of taxis sounding their horns upto 4am, touting for business from the niteclubs in Harcourt Road.Although we were moved to the rear of the hotel for our remaining stay We were annoyed that they put us in the front rooms knowing the situation existed
There was no mention of the local nightclub venues in close proximity. The noise throughout the night was constant and incredibly intrusive. It was so disturbing that it should be highlighted in the hotel descriptor. We were allocated a room on the top floor which had no air-con. The ceiling fan was inadequate and we desperately need some fresh-air. Unfortunately because of the street noise we had to keep the window closed in order to try and sleep. This was a business trip and my husband and are have returned home shattered and annoyed that these issue had not been highlighted. Breakfast was extortionate.
Although it is very conveniently situated and priced, we thought the decor in the roooms needed some updating as it all looked a bit worn. Bathrooms are great but the rest needs some attention.
bit cold at night. I did not enquire about the heater. I do not think it was working.
The room was very comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location for central Dublin. The Luas didn`t disturb us at all, but we were disturbed by noise from the night club, particularly around 4am when I think it closed for the night, resulting in lots of party-goers on the street and the road was jammed with taxis - often sounding their horns continuously. I lost about 2 hours of sleep as a result, as I hadn`t packed ear-plugs - perhaps this is something you can supply to the rooms facing Harcourt Road... It must be a regular problem.
