Handy for Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, Christ Church, and within walking reasonable walking distance of all city centre sights (Guinness Storehouse only 15-20 mins on foot).
Loved this hotel. Long weekend from thursday to Monday. People lovely, and I would hugely recommend staying there and going to the legends show. Excellent value for money..
Excellent hotel, ideally situated in the centre, facilities excellent, overall we enjoyed my husbands birthday week-end
All in all a good deal for the price (£123 for 3 nights), but the lift was down for a couple of days and it seems to be a chronic problem that will require renovations. Staff was great about retrieving luggage but was difficult for my friend with hip problems to get to the 3rd floor. Hot water in the shower was inconsistent. Otherwise room was comfortable with windows open for fresh air and a radiator to heat the room quickly.
You couldn`t ask for a better location on the Southside! .......It`s all a bit jaded and in need of a good overhaul. Staff were very helpful and friendly but the lift was out of action for entire stay, no net curtains at window which was opposite office block, so no privacy unless you drew the curtains!..... Furnishings were very tired and well used.........All in all,.. average but good price and superb location....I would stay there again but wouldn`t expect too much !
Really great location in the centre of all the night life and shopping area. We also visited the guiness storehouse which was approx 20 min walk. On arrrival to hotel the receptionist was really friendly and informative. The hotel room was quite basic with painted cream walls and modern curtains/bedding, floor was carpeted in green floral, however, everywhere was really clean yet basic. We stayed for two nights in which the cleaner cleaned our room. The hotel has a bar and restaraunt attached to it which was really lively and busy. Overall a nice clean and popular hotel central to everywhere, would use this hotel again. We went for valentines wkend, and really enjoyed ourselves, however, Dublin is really expensive so take loads of money with you!!!
I`m so glad that we didn`t pay the ?29.95 per head for dinner and show, we found alternative eating elsewhere much better, the second night we stayed we did eat in the hotel bar area to watch the live irish dancing of which there were 2 people who danced for around 15 minutes. They also had a guitarist playing in the hotel which was good. The room however was very basic with dodgy tiling on the walls, paint coming off the walls in the bedroom and their version of a double bed was 2 single beds pushed together!! Wasn`t very impressed. However it was centrally located and very near the main temple bar area.
overall the hotel is rather good. only thing I would say is the room was too small, couldn`t get moving around much, it was a twin room.
Rooms reqire updating especially for the price and room was noisy for most of the night due to the traffic on the main road. Food and guinness was both reasonably priced and excellent = would recommend your beef and guinness casserole to anybody!
Hotel room looked nothing like what was shown on the website. Room was very small and dated.
Only issue on arrival to the hotel room the room smelt of vomit (not nice) this was the only room available (YEAH RIGHT) but I guess you cant blame them for some drunk who stayed the night before.
Superbly placed for all the action, excellent bar and entertainment, fantastic breakfast, rooms could do with a face lift.Next time in Dublin will be staying with you, thanks
I am so glad I booked this hotel. It is very central, great staff, nice rooms and lovely bar and restaurant area with entertainment every night. On a very quiet Monday evening, it was the liveliest and most welcome place to be. Hightly recommended.
Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights - the room was clean, suitable size and available when I arrived a couple of hours early. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great, you can walk to almost anywhere if you like getting out and about! The hotel is noisy at night because if its close proximity to Temple Bar. Breakfast was fab with friendly service. Only downside is the beds - they aren`t the most comfortable to sleep in, and the one I had dipped in the middle :( Other than this, it was a great stay!!
Could not fault the location. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel could do with a bit of redecoration but it was very clean and good value for money. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Superb position - rooms good and as we got a twin room (no breakfast) for under £70.00, I think that it was a very good deal for central Dublin. I would have no problem with rebooking. Mike - Gloucester
right down from the hotel staff to the entertainment and security man on the door, everyone was fantastic, an excellent location and really clean, definately booking again
Room had a faint smell of vomit thats the only bad point i can think of
Great location, very helpful staff and the room was very clean. The room had a double and also a single bed and these were comfortable. This hotel is perfect if you want to enjoy the Temple Bar nightlife which our party did. Great for shopping too only a short five/ten minute walk to the main shopping areas. I would stay at this hotel again if I return to Dublin. As a warning if you want a quite location then this hotel is not the best for this as you can hear the partying in Temple Bar at about 2am.
The room was basic but clean the bar and restaurant were lovely and entertainment great fun. Would definately stay here again and recommend it to friends. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Particular thanks to Shalane, impeccable manners and patience, the live show is superb and the food was good too
extremely hard pillows & having being doing the Dublin Marathon - had some very bad sleeps, so will be remembered for that. Rest was OK - just pillow attack!
Great location, rooms clean and tidy, would recommend and use again.
The Arlington Temple Bar has everything: great location, great staff, excellent bar, food and entertainment all in one convenient place. It is located very close to some great night spots and resturants. But not close enough to have any problem with clubs that close very late such as noise, (very quiet area). The staff was great room and common areas were well kept. The front desk staff was also very helpful.
our stay was a good one apart from the lift not working for 3 days, we were on the third floor and had to use the stairs. this was hard work and difficult when it came to bringing down our cases.
Good hotel, with very clean, large room. We were on the first floor, main road side and above the bar. The road is busy but did not cause us any problem. There is a very large window that could do with a net curtain as everyone on the double decker bus were waving at us when we had the curtains open! You could hear the live music , but this went quiet at about 1am, so again did not disburb us. Overall we would definately stay there again as the positive definately outweigh the negs.
We (4 in total) stayed just one night but found our rooms very comfortable, the food and entertainment very good and the staff helpful, friendly and courteous. I would certainly stay again.
