Reception when I arrived charged £40 for early access i happly paid this"to the room and said they would arrange the extra bed to be made up, very poor to be told later by reception to go to the guest linen cupboard and get the necessary bedding and do it yourself. Very dissatisfied.

THE GRAND IS RIGHT ON TRAFALGAR SQ WHICH IS AN IDEAL LOCATION. THE HOTEL RECEPTION IS NOT IMMEDIATELY VISIBLE AND SOME OF THE STAFF WERE QUITE "WHATEVER" IF THAT MAKES SENSE, THE MANAGER WAS EXCEPTIONALLY HELPFUL AND NICE AS WERE THE BREAKFAST STAFF. WE ATE IN THE JAPANESE RESTAURANT IT WAS GORGEOUS. THE ROOM BASIC AND NEEDED A GOOD CLEAN (THOUGH I AM FUSSY) THE TOPS WERE DUSTY, BATHROOM DOORS HMMM? BED CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE THOUGH. WOULD I STAY AGAIN? YES... IF THEY`D HAVE ME AFTER THIS REVIEW.

hotel was great, fabulous interiors, a treasure. a camera is a must. the location is fantastic, right there in the middle of it all but when you are inside you dont get any of the noise and commotion going on outside. go there again, oh yes.

Yoo expensive for what it is.T

Fantastic room, clean, view of Trafalgar Square and quiet, even though we were at the front of the Hotel near the entrance. Staff were really friendly, helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and would use again - many thanks

My only criticism is about the noise of the air-conditioning - too loud. The staff were always helpful and the facilities were fine! Thank-you very much.

A good, convenient hotel in a central location which was clean and comfortable. Staff were all good apart from bar staff who seemed more interested in making their cocktails than actually serving people. Breakfast was good and reasonable value for central London hotel. Bedrooms on the small side but clean and comfortable. Reception staff very helpful and gave good advice.

hair dryer was broken, but to be fair did not report because it was not needed and forgot to report on check out. room 924. otherwise excellent freindly staff and impressive room including fridge and microwave.

My husband and i booked this hotel for our 1st wedding anniversary, we found it to be a very relaxing atmosphere and close to all the attractions we wanted to see including the theatres on the strand highly reccomended

Rooms very small and for the amount of money you pay for the night it`s not very grand at all but the location is very good

Room had 2 decaff, 2 normal coffee and 2 tea bags - but only two small milk sachets. Not enough for the 6 cups! Reception did not know anything about how to pay for congestion charges when asked. Should have at least had the phone number to hand for us. Room was comfortable but price was steep. Would have at least expected breakfast to be included in the cost of the room. Would visit again, but only at a discounted or offer price.

We have a very nice room, the location was excellent and the staff were helpful. The room was also very clean. I can not comment on the food as we did not eat at the hotel.

Immaculate hotel, room was very nice with all necessary facilities. Customer service at front desk could have been a lot better - one particular member of staff was not very welcoming but this can not take away from the hotel itself which we would recommend to anyone.

You don`t get what`s on the tin, room was pokey,private function in main bar so couldn`t use it,staff where were they? No bath just shower?

Pushing it a bit to be real value for money compared with another close by and another not that far away. Room small but adequate.Unlimited wifi better than those others. Ditto easy access to internet check in. staff excellent. Music too loud in bar/dining room for a pleasant dining experience.

The room was nice, with excellent facilities. We were at the back of the hotel and found the room very quiet however the view was disappointing. A lovely building with fantastic interior.

great hotel in every respct - but choose room carefully if you dont want a view that looks into the tower that houses all the drains etc - we just closed the window and shut the curtains !

Just returned from a night In London stayed at The Grand hotel trafalgar square. Must say I was really impressed by this hotel the entrance lobby and bar is stunning, staff are really curtious and can`t do enough for you. The rooms are lovely we had a standard double room which was beautiful and modern. Have stayed at many hotels in London and would definatly say this is the best one so far.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was placed in a very good position to visit London venues and sites.

Breakfast should be made easier - menu complicated as there is french continental, continental and full english but not explained very well! Should just have a central buffet area and full english (or choice of eggs, etc) if required. Also breakfast expensive! Hotel friendly, clean and excellent location.

Overall hotel was excellent, if I had to be a little disappointed it was because the bar shut very early.

very impressed, we booked via Hotel Direct for the first time and were really happy with the ease of the booking, to the quality of the hotel. The Grand has an amazing lobby and we were fortunate enough to get a room with a view (not that it matters too much, but its always nice), really comfy bed, plenty of complementory tea/coffee/iced water etc.. can`t fault it.. would definately stay there again, and book thru Hotel Direct..

Excellent location. Clean and comfortable

We were apprehensive about what we would find, but were pleasantly suprised. The hotel was perfectlylocated in the centre near toTrafalgar Square. We drove to London and found car parking facilities leass than 5minutes away. Our room was spotlessly clean and ready early. Staff were polite when spoken too. The only down side was the price of the breakfast. I am certain that the hotel would get more clients eating if the halved the cost. A lot of guests were eating in a restaurant less than 50 yards from the hotel. I would definately recommend to family and friends and will use again.

The room had been recently refurbished to a high quality. It was clean, quiet and all staff were very friendly.

Excellent location, helpful friendly staff, very clean with excellent facilities and very good value for money. Have stayed in other hotels for the same money but no where near as good as this. I will use this as my London base from now on.

Room was too hot, and too small, not worth paying £150.00
