The hotel lived up exactly to our requirements. The room was adequate in size (larger than our previous stay there). All furniture, bedding, towels, etc were of good quality. The lack of air conditioning was no problem as the ceiling fan provided adequate air cooling on our warmest nights. The cold buffet breakfast was sufficiently varied to cater for different tastes. All members of staff were very considerate and welcoming. The hotel is convenient for transport and a wide range of restaurants. This is a mid priced hotel which provides very good value for money.
The hotel was clean and comfortable with lovely high ceilings. It`s a good location for museums, Royal Albert Hall and Hyde park. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Little details could be better - only one bathrobe was in the room, only one pack of biscuits and the biscuits and water were not replenished. Continental breakfast was good with cereals toast fruit and pastries We`d stay again though
I think there were staffing problems . Breakfast service was chaotic ie tables unavailable . Guests wandering aimlessly looking for cutlery / crockery asking for coffee/ food . Our bedroom was in need of refurbishment especially the bathroom . It certainly wasn`t worth the money I paid .
Comfortable room. Breakfast just enough to set you up for the day. Handy for all the sights. Would stay there again.
Service and staff good but hotel tired and rooms small. Asked for recognition that this was to celebrate our 30 year wedding anniversary and received no recognition. Disappointing as Q hotels always recognise when requested. Overall put a bit of a downer on what was a great 3 days !
Would recommend this hotel to anyone, easy access, clean rooms, friendly staff and a compliment drink !!
All the personnel was extremely helpful, the room we stayed in (No 107) is beautiful and cosy. The architecture of the house and all the district around it is a real stylistic gem. Breakfasts and the people at the bar were very nice. The Russian-speaking charwoman was an additional positive surprise. We thank all the staff for the unforgettable six days at the Kensington House.
Lovely place to stay, very friendly and helpful staff, it felt like a cosy B and B. If you are looking for evening meal this isn`t the place as only has a bar and continental breakfast but nice and quiet too.
Very friendly, clean and welcoming, ideal location for getting into the city centre, either by tube or walking, without being noisy.
The hotel was comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff very helpful throughout our stay. Thank you
I`ll definitely be back and will recommend this hotel to my friends Such wonderful: friendly; efficient staff: An Absolute Pleasure
Our stay was very good, the hotel atmosphere and staff were welcoming and excellent. Our room was very clean, well equipped and all we needed for our overnight stay. Breakfast room again very pleasant. Our thanks to the staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, clean compact bedroom, ideal for our mini break
Well located and the quietest hotel I have stayed at in London. Buffet breakfast very good and the hotel also spotlessly clean. A great start to our Holiday in Britain.
As a location close to the Royal Albert Hotel- Excellent
very welcoming hotel staff very helpful breakfast very good will use this hotel again when in London also very convenient for the royal albert hall and many of londons attractions
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Kensington the staff were very pleasant very helpful nothing was to much trouble it was clean warm and had everything we needed for our stay the breakfast was more than adaquit tea and coffee plentiful we would definatly stay there again would recommend it
Suitably located in a quiet location, close to the places of interest to a visitor to London. The room although small had all the basic amenities . The management staff, restaurant staff were all helpful. Would recommend for short stays.
A very pleasant and friendly place to stay in London for a few nights, situated In one of the most attractive and charming areas of London. A standards double is a bit cramped with very little space for clothes etc., however,.I would definitely stay there again.
The only reason this review is `Good` and not `Excellent` is because our room was on the small side (as we had booked the hotel with an offer) and this led to rather a lot of dancing around each other and co-ordinating our movements, but it was very clean and had an airy feel so this was not much of a problem. The staff were really lovely; they`re polite and smiley at all times of the day, always welcoming, accommodating and attentive. The hotel is perfectly situated in a beautiful area, being just a stone`s throw from bus routes which go to all the main sites and only a short walk away from three free entry museums and a lovely block of restaurants. Overall a lovely place to stay, would certainly recommend.
We will always come back - thanks - details passed onto our friends too!
Having said all that Keykay (Enrique) was a godsend! He sorted pillows the following day after we had been forced to sleep on a sofa cushion wrapped in a towel as night porter claimed to have none & got us fresh milk. He changed the key cards twice. We hoped the door thing had been a one off but same thing next night. Management informed at checkout. Keykay kept bags until train later. Nothing too much trouble for him.
Good rooms, good breakfast, obliging staff - receptionist not particularly welcoming though. All-in-all a great find!
A really nice hotel - everything went very well we enjoyed the room and the bar area. We will be back!
The first night of our stay we had the most horrific room, Room105.We could not sleep due to the noise above. That room should be used as a store room and not guests! The next morning we were moved and had a great stay.
This was our second stay at the Kensington House Hotel we stayed there again due to a fantastic experience first time around. We were not disappointed on our second visit. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed giving us a great nights sleep. The dining room/ bar area was comfortabke and well appointed. The staff were all very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The only downside for us was finding reasonable parking but this does not detract from our lovely stay. We have decided that his is the only hotel for our visits to London. Thank you KH and see you again soon
The hotel staff did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
Great room and good location for what we came to see would definitely return
We stayed for 3 Nights at Kensingto Hous and I must say it was very comfortable.
Lovely quiet hotel in Kensington but had a few issues in our room. The toilet chain would not flush properly. Reported it but never got fixed. The light switch was a bit hit and miss on the headboard, would not turn the lights off so had to get out of bed and turn them off. In the bathroom it was a plastic shower curtain, would of been better being a screen. The biggest disappointment was that I am on a gluten free diet. I phoned the hotel and told them and also told them again when I arrived but for the continental breakfast all they could offer me was bread. Surely they could of gone to the shops and bought cereal in? Really upset by this as it is supposed to be a four star hotel and what we paid for it. This is why I am scoring an average. They did not go out of there way to get me anything for my breakfast.
Excellent overnight stop, welcome drinks, very comfortable and quiet room, obliging staff and tasty breakfast. Just what we needed when going to a concert at the Albert Hall.
From the minute we arrived right up to when we left the staff could not have been more helpful . Will always stay there when visiting London
Would definitely stay here again if visiting London. Ideal location, just off the main street so was not troubled by noise. Continental breakfast good, hotel room good, bed very comfortable, everywhere clean and tidy. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Bedroom lighting wasn`t good for reading - down to eco 40w bulbs not for lack of lamps. A very enjoyable stay. Thank you.
Lovely comfy beds, nice buffet breakfast and complimentary drink from the bar. Everything you need for a short stay in London. Close to Kensington High Street, good shops and restaurants. Short walk to the tube and near to Albert Hall and museums.
