Friendly reception, comfortable room, excellent shower, good continental breakfast. Top end of 3 star.
We were not expecting too high a standard at this hotel, as it was at the cheaper end of the price range. But we had a great stay at this lovely hotel. I think I read somewhere that it had recently been refurbished, and it certainly looked newly decorated. It was very clean, reasonably small, and the staff were all English speaking and helpful. It is less than five minutes walk from the Metro stations Liege and Rome, as well as another that we did not use. I would recommend this hotel and will try to book this smae one if we go to Paris again; which hopefully we will.
Reserved room with double bed had two singles
We had a great stay at the Hotel lysées Opera, the location is very central with the ability to walk to the centre. If not walking the Metro was very close also. The hotel was immaculate, the staff were welcoming and friendly speaking both French and English. The room was well decorated, warm, quite small but perfectly okay, tidy and the bed very, very comfortable. The breakfast whilst not 5 star, was more than adequate. The only minor negative is the car parking is about 500 metres away and expensive.
Fantastic hotel with friendliest staff, who got our room ready for us 4 hours early.clean, fantastic location, very quiet and peaceful as rooms are sound proofed and hotel located down a side street,I would not hesitate to recommend and can`t wait to stay there again.
We stayed for a 3 night break and couldn`t have been happier with the hotel. Excellent metro links are just a short walk away to take you into the main sight seeing areas of the city. The hotel itself was lovely. The room was small but cosy, clean and comfortable, and although our room looked out onto the street it wasn`t noisy. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a continental buffet with plenty to choose from including fresh croissants which were delicious! There was also plenty of restaurants and bistros in the area. When we return to Paris we will definately choose to stay here again.
Central hotel, very clean,
Fine as a base room for exploring Paris. Rooms very clean and bed comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful (Room safe didn`t work but was fixed next day).
This small hotel is in a quiet, but easily accessible part of Paris. It is easy to walk to the major tourist places. The hotel room was small, but clean and with a lovely batthroom. Breakfast was good, with a variety of foods and decent Twinings tea. There is also a lovely restaurant, Le Percolateur across the road where we had delicious meals.
We stayed here for two nights and had a FAB time, definitely coming to Paris again. The staff were very helpful, always on hand 247, plus the hotel is clean and in very good condition â?? and you get looked after. Itâ??s great for a short stay, pretty central to everything too and Iâ??d definitely stay again!
The staff were very helpful and spoke English. The breakfast was also very good. There were no toiletries in the bathroom, other than a shower gel dispenser. Overall, we thought it was very good value for money, given the location, and would certainly go again.
This small hotel offers everything that an international visitor to Paris needs - except perhaps laundry facilities (although a commercial laundry is nearby). It`s located in a quiet street close to transport & major tourist attractions. Rooms are small but more than adequate; bathrooms are clean & modern. Reception staff are extremely friendly & helpful - all speak English & some other languages. Highly recommended.
Staff very welcoming and helpful.Rooms very clean.Good position for seeing Paris. Breakfast very good. Overall we had a lovely stay
This was a very decent hotel with friendly staff, small clean room and an excellent breakfast. It was a little pricey but we found it on the internet and by mistake booked it in British pounds so it looked like a good deal. All in all a fine place, close to Rome or Liege subway and a nice pizzeria. The room was fairly quiet too.
Location great for tubes , shopping, moulin rouge spot on
Arrived to warm welcome and super clean room.Staff, from cleaners to receptionists, bent over backwards to make our stay memorable. They booked restaurants, lent us a pen, and sellotaped my daughter`s parcel. We even had a proper English conversation, complaining about the weather- too hot for us, too cold for them. It`s not in a glamourous area, but pleasant enough. The only complaint would be the horrid coffee at breakfast.
No complaints, the hotel was excellent value for money. Very clean, comfortable beds and good aircon.
Rooms, food and staff excellent but would benefit from tea/coffee facilities in the rooms
Went on a girlie weekend with relatives so good to have 3 nights for 2. Very helpful staff, rooms good size with good clean amenities, shower really good! Continental breakfast plentiful. Plenty of places to eat nearby . Would recommend to anyone as an above average 3 star. Will definately be back with my husband.
The Elysees Opera Hotel has full marks for a 3 star hotel.Staff helpful and freindly, good continental breakfast and small but comfortable bedrooms. Ecellent location. Have also stopped in there sister hotel Champerret Elysees also of the same quality.
This was a very comfortable 6 days spent at the Elysees Opera. It was clean, tidy, well-appointed and the English-speaking staff were always very pleasant and helpful. The maids were excellent, made a great job of tidying your room and always the first to wish you `Bonjour`. My only critiques were a) the room was quite small for a double and being on the top floor suffered from sloping ceilings and b) whilst the breakfast was very good I don`t like coffee machines, especially in Paris.
Hotel very close to center and busy Elysee also easy access to Metros. The only thing I found is that Rooms are very small.
An exellent ubication, near chemist, supermarkets and plenty of cafes, yet a very quiet street. Rooms very fresh, clean and comfortable, we felt secure and well looked after by the staff. Many thanks to all of them.
Every where in the hotel is clean, bedrooms big enough for your needs. All the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is good and very fresh. Would definitely stay again.
I had a double room for single occupancy and it would have been a tight squeeze if there were to occupants but would recommend nevertheless. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was excellent.
good value for money, location easily accessable with the metro, not very far from Moulin Rouge, basic french breakfast, quality of the food good, choice limited, TV channels in room mainly french, although CNN was available, solid three star hotel in a very expensive city!
I booked four rooms for three nights for a family and friends trip to Paris. The hotel was easy to find and probably the best of its class I have stayed at during many trips to Paris over the years. The rooms were well kitted out and clean (some are of course more spacious than others) and all the staff I met were bilingual (at least) and helpful. From previous reviews I thought the breakfasts would be bad but they were very acceptable. I didn`t try it but there was also a pretty comprehensive looking night time room service menu. It will be my first choice for my next visit.
Just back from 3 nights at the Elysees Opera and would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! Its ideally placed in the city as there are 3 metro stations within a 5min walk, all of the landmarks are therefore no more than 10mins away. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. The hotel itself provides very clean and tidy rooms (small and compact but thats apparently normal for Paris!!) with excellent new showers and the breakfast included allows you to `fill up` before you head out for the day. As for Paris - the architecture and landmarks are perfect (but very busy), the people generally rude, its VERY expensive to eat and drink (a beer is 8 euros!!) so its not a cheap 3-4 day stay but all in all, its worth it. If the weathers nice, head for the Jardins des Tuileries which are next to the Place de la Concorde / Louvre.....sat in the sun today watching the world go by and its was perfect. Enjoy!!!
We both enjoyed our short stay for our Wedding Anniversary treat Trip to Paris. The Hotel was easy to find from directions given. The room was clean with a nice Bathroom-Very good shower. Helpful friendly staff. Nice to have a Safety deposit in room-and quiet good Air Conditioning.Good Continental Breakfast.Would stay there again.
Had a lovely break at this hotel. In a quiet district yet easy walking distance to the Metro. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful. Would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to others.
