Out of the two rooms booked, one room had no view at all it was looking at a type of inner quadrangle of the hotel looking out directly at other rooms through a metal staircase (Iprobably the fire escape) with only a view of external pipes and filler foam! It was on the first floor making it very dark with very little natural light in the room due to loking up at structure of the hotel. The second room that was booked had a very nasty smell that appeared to develop from the bathroom throughout each evening. Whilst this was reported to the hotel no room change was offered only an application of bleach which did very little to mask the smell. All in all not what we expected from a 4 star Rome hotel room. On a positive note the hotel was very well located.
Bedrooms small no chairs, sofa`s no tea, coffee making facilities, no coat hangers for clothesBreakfast extremely poor hot drinks were always cold
Hotel was perfectly adequate but maybe not 4 star standard. We actually ended up in the Veneto Hotel which is linked to Romanica Palace. Rooms and bathrooms were fine, hotel staff very pleasant and friendly and a lot of very useful information provided at check-in. It would have been nice for the terrace bar to have been open as advertised in the evenings as the view over Rome would have been lovely at night. Would recommend if you want a centrally based hotel for a few days to see the sights of Rome.
Hotel was fine, considering there was a great deal on. Believe I was put in a lower grade room (after catching a glimpse of the other rooms). However, hotel was fine, room was fine, and the staff were very friendly. Not a bad location, but you do have to get the bus/metro to get anywhere. Breakfasts good!!
The hotel was good as a whole. We were very disappointed, when we arrived though because there was no kettle in the room to make tea with, which is one very important thing for us in our room, also we asked to borrow an iron, and there was no iron that we could borrow, which I have never come across in a hotel before.Apart from that the hotel was lovely, and the staff were very helpful.
Staff friendly and helpful. Evening meal availability would improve rating. Directions suppied misleading, as distance from either Metro is considerable - not within walking distance with luggage. Suggest they get signed up to hotel shuttle bus service which stops at another in the same road. Costs half as much as private car offered by Romanico.
not as near to everything as i thought, a goo d 10 to 15 minute walk. eating breakfast on terrace was lovelly, shame it was closed in the evenings we would have spent more time and money in hotel if it had been. Thank you again to staff
Good location - basic 4 star accomodation with polite and helpful staff.
Liked the location.
It is billed to serve food but only breakfast was availble. Bar staff poor with no bar knowledge. Rooms small and dark. Beautiful rooftop restaurant that served no supper. Expensive for what we got.
having encountered the rude front desk staff when we finally got to our room we were pleasantly surprised apart from the fact that ours was the only room on the floor that wasnt being renovated would not stay here again
Hotel and room was very clean and the reception area impressive. However, we had a `double` room and it was very small, pics on the net make them all look a lot more impressive then they actually are. Upstairs there is a 360 vie of Rome but is only accessible during breakfast. A shame they don`t open a bar upstairs instead of the rather formal bar downstairs. Hotel staff were friendly.
overall ok not the best hotel I have stayed in. The pictures on the internet made it look better, very surprised by our bedroom as it was very small. I thought for what we got it was not worth the money, to be honest. Breakfast was basic, not impressed overall
Great location to walk the city, without being too noisy. While we were there though the air conditioning was a serious problem and we had to change rooms due to the noise.
We found this Hotel to be clean and well cared for , very pleasant staff. Room was comfortable with best shower ever! Unfortunately we were able to hear running water for most of the night which did keep us awake.
The staff ,reception and the roof restaurant and bar were what you would exept from a four star hotel, but alas the bedrooms were NOT. there were a lot of small things which should not be there, toilet running, bath plug had trouble removing ,not enough storage space. For what we were charged the bedrooms were tired. But on the bright side ROME was great.
More could have been made of the dining facilities. The rooftop dining area would have been good for dinner as well as just breakfast. Whilst the room was clean and tidy both bedroom and bathroom were small. In addition it did not benefit from tea/coffee making facilities.
