Had a great time. the room was great, spacious with views over Leeds. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast was great with prompt, efficient and friendly service. Would stay again
The hotel is really ideally located in front of train station. I had a double room. It was clean, the bed was very comfy, shower worked perfectly. The staff was friendly. I really had an excellent stay!
room was great, cleanand spacious view was terriffic, food as in breakfast was great and lots to cheese from, location great and staff superb, deffinatlt stay there again
The room was a bit dated the air con never worked so the room was constantly hot. It was clean enough. We asked for a refurb room but they wanted an extra £20 which I thought was wrong considering the hotel was a 4* the room we was in I would of rated it a 2* but overall it was ok
not as it looks on the website but location good, staff efficient and polite
Everything it said it was and more, the staff were great!! Thanks..
Good central location, local parking worked well, rooms are clean, carpets in bedrooms and areas outside the lifts have seen better days, breakfast was very good.
The accommodation was very clean and a big bonus - a lovely bath to relax in!! (as well as the usual showering facilities). Discounted parking - a great bonus and located within minutes of shopping area. Breakfast was well presented and plenty of choice.
I was excited about coming to the hotel at the wkend but was very disappointed when i got there. It is supposed to be a 4* hotel so you would expect a swimming pool. There was not one. The room was very average, only a few of the channels worked on the tv and the heating wasn`t working properly.Very disappointed!!
A warm welcome upon arrival, highly recommended and will definately stay again in the future
You could smell cigarette smoke in the corridors on Floor 6 and we were not asked on reception if we required smoking or non-smoking. We didn`t request another room because the cigarette odour wasn`t as bad in room. Also the carpet was very dirty and lots of black marks and the furniture was knocked about - not a good standard.
Reception is funky, bright and staff helpful. Stayed ont he 18th floor, bathroom was tired, dark wood faded from water stains, mould around the bath - looks like it could use a little tlc to bring it back to life. Curtains in room seems dirty and off white.
Possibly enlarge reception area. Gets very crowded particularly in the run up to 12:00 check out time. Queues too near entrance to hotel. Lots of bags and cases to stumble over!
Room was very nice apart from huge iron mark on the carpet. The tap in the bathroom leaked and the bathroom smelt of drains. The breakfast was very poor the tea looked like dishwater and the majority of the hot buffet was lukewarm.Good position and nice looking hotel but could do much better for the money
Brilliant location and breakfast is delightful. Clean, bright and fresh rooms and the beds are very comfortable for a good night sleep!
I booked on line on 23 April and on arrival you had no booking. The receptionist (Daniel) was extremely helpful and eventually got me sorted with a room. However, it was a disabled room, with no bath, and frankly the bathroom was tired to say the least. I also had a dirty towel in the bathroom. he only other room available was a smoking room. Daniel saved the day by being so pleasant and apologetic.
Have stayed here twice now - executive room was excellent with super views and very comfortable - very nice breakfast - would definitely recommend
Thought the hotel was very stylish and well priced. Bed very comfortable and Iiked being so high up. If I had to find a gripe I would say the shower control was a bit awkward. Breakfast excellent. Staff helpful. Will definitely stay again.
the hotel although advertised as four star was more like a three star. I think that they rely heavily on the restaurant Chino Latino`s to justify their four star status. Although the restaurant was nice, I do feel that the food although tasty was overrated. I think the prices are far too expensive and if I were to stay in Leeds again I would choose another hotel and eat out at one of the many fine restaurants in Leeds.
A nice stay overall but let down by stained carpets and a distinct smell of smoke in the room despite requesting a non smoking room. Very friendly staff throughout the hotel, its just a shame other guests in the hotel weren`t as considerate as we found out at 4 in the morning when we were woken by a couple arguing in their room and on the landing and also throwing things around! Not the hotels fault though and would recommend to anybody wanting to stay in the centre of leeds as it is close to everything and just over the road from the train station.
Hotel is nice. Bar could be a little bigger but food is nice. Was disturbed by cleaners in the morning though ehich was the only problem. Otherwise a nice stay.
Really enjoyed it. Nice place to stay in the Centre of Leeds. I`d go back :)
Had a one night stay at Park Plaza with my Daughter for her birthday. Room was large, with a great view across the city, had trouble getting daughter away from view, we were on the 19th floor. Beds were very comfortable and the room was warm, thank goodness it was freezing outside. Went down to the bar for a latte coffee, but it arrived only luke warm, had to complain to the lovely waiter, he said he was sorry it was the machine. I suggested a new machine and he said he would love one. Come on Park Plaza make your customers and staff happy. Next morning went down for breakfast or should I say BRUNCH , on Sunday its served upto 12 pm. The food was really nice and well cooked with lots of variety. Overall a pleasant stay, staff were so polite and halpful, would go back again.
The hotel room I booked was an executive double, on arrival the bathroom had not been cleaned. The carpet was rather stained. Otherwise a spacious well equipped room, with a great view of the City. Large king size bed, comfortable and lovely very large toweling wraps.
Plus side, central, good beds, clean and a not half bad breakfast.Negatives, staining to bedroom chairs and resteraunt seats was unacceptable. If I had booked the resteraunt in isolation to the hotel booking I would have turned around and gone elsewhere. They were grim and need deep cleaning or replacing. The internet access via old CRT TVs was very poor.We booked to stay 1st/2nd January. The resteraunt along with most resteraunts in Leeds were shut on the evening of the 1st,so we ate at Macs in the rail station..How odd to not have a resteraunt working in a hotel ??
I waited an hour and a half for a sandwich and soup (they phoned me 3 times to confirm my order) and ordered a breakfast for the morning which never came. Carpets need a serious re-ferb. Apart from that, staff are friendly and helpful, location is spot on and rooms are spacious with excellent bathroom facilities. Recommended........just eat out!
A wonderful hotel with a friendly, welcoming service. My room overlooked the whole of Leeds City, Very impressive. The room service fantastic. The only downfall is that the contemporary layout was spoiled by the Flat Square Tube, old skool style tv. Should have been a Flatscreen to compliment the rest of the room. And a little annoyance, there are no towel hooks in the bathroom, or rail. But i could put that aside lol.
We were very pleased with our one night stay at the Park Plaza Leeds. I had booked three rooms at a special rate and the rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. Even though it was not mentioned on the internet site, there were tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Service at reception on our arrival was fast and efficient. The hotel is right in the centre of the city and close to all amenities. A very pleasant stay.
We stayed at the park plaza in leeds just after the christmas period. When we arrived at the hotel we checked in to the room but had problems with the television in the room as there was no picture at all. So the hotel manager put us into another room but we got put in to a disabled room which was disapointing as this room just had a shower. There was a lack of hot water and the bath room smelt of pee as soon as you walked into the bathroom.I dont think we will be so going back again. But the location of the hotel is very good and the staff are really friendly.
We always stay at the Park Plaza, at least six times a year. We also always stay in an Executive room as they are much nicer. However, the whole hotel is looking a little tired, the breakfast seats (which are also part of the bar) are very soiled and I felt a little uneasy eating food on such soiled seats.
