Staff at the hotel were very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was well presented and always refresh with the cook breakfast remaing hot. The accomodation is not sized as the larger Hilton Hotels would usualy be but is typical of hotels in and around the city centre areas. The usual and expected quality from the Hilton is eveident. All in all a very good base to visit all of the site London has to offer
Hotel is in close proximity to the West end.The hotel it`s self is spotlessly clean. The staff make you feel very welcome.Make sure you have your welcome cookie they are scrumptious!.
Very comfortable stay. The quietness of the room made up for us having a poor view (we were at the back/side of hotel overlooking a small quad area). The problems we had were sorted out quickly - no milk in room - difficulty in getting hot water - needing help with shower. Breakfast choice was good. Thank you
window blinds brokendifficult to regulate airconditioningwalls with long holes inThe breakfast was very nice as was the staff at the hotel always willing to help in case of queries
The hotel is well situated for sightseeing and shopping. The rooms are clean, comfortable and functional. We had breakfast and it was very good. The staff in this hotel are very friendly and efficent. Nice experience overall. Would stay again
We were made to feel very welcome, and enjoyed our short stay immensely. The warm cookies on arrival were a lovely touch!
Good location, was upgraded to a better room on checking. Nice cookie given to both of us. However when we went to the upgraded room it had been used by smokers and we could not stop in the room it was that bad. They immediately changed us to another room and this was fine. Bar staff in the evening really helpful. Breakfast was excellent and fresh. Would reccomend to anyone.
I was very pleased other than with the staff who had trouble understanding English...yes, English.
Very impressed with hotel, Location brilliant, food excellent, rooms excellentCould not understand size of bathrooms being small.
Be nice to have some tea and coffee making facilities in the room
Really impressed with the hotel. Great location for the West End theatres. Front desk, helpful and very polite. Check in and out simple and fast. Concierge very knowlegable and helpful. Rooms exceptionally clean and quite comfortable. Superb breakfast. Only fault I could think of would be cheap quilts on the bed and the bed was a bit small compared to what we are used to (Only a standard double). Everything else perfect! Would highly recommend this hotel.
We arrived on a very hot (30 degrees C) day to find the air con was not working in our rooms. The hotel reception staff were very understanding and moved us to an executive suite, where we enjoyed a very comfortable stay. Staff were very polite, cheerful and helpful. There was a good variety of food available at breakfast, which was mostly very good, but some of our party did comment that the orange juice was weak and the croissants very bland and flavourless. We will not hesitate to return to the hotel again.
Good hotel, very pleasant staff. I syatyed for one night on business. Room recently refurbsihed and very comfortable . Good lobby facilities and breakfast. Much better than similar priced hotels recently used
Location very good. Reception and bar area very good and polite staff. Room was a very small double with bed pushed against the wall but had usual facilities you`d expect and was clean. If you don`t plan on spending much time in your room then would recommend.
Nice hotel which I will recomend to friends and use again. Central location very clean and comfortable, although on the small side. We were fortunate to have a room at the back which meant it was quiet which is a huge plus in London. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good local amenities (cash machine, pharmacy, supermarket etc.) Holburn and Russell Square underground within easy walking distance. Only slight niggle was that the lighting was a bit poor around the mirrors but not a major issue also television was difficult to navigate but didn`t spend much time in the room for it to be a problem.
we stayed in the same hotel last year and were very disappointed with our room. however it is now changed to doubletree and we had a very enjoyable stay. our room was lovely with plenty of toiletries and the breakfast was excellent. the staff were friendly and helpful. we have just returned home and am disappointed as i have just tried to book the hotel in december for two nights with friends and they are sold out! thats a good sign. jennifer
Everything about this hotel was great, from the minute we arrived staff made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was large and spotlessly clean and had lots of extras. The bed was very comfortable which is great after a long day walking round London! Meals and cocktails were fabulous. The hotel was a couple of minutes walk from Russell Square station which made it very easy to access all areas of London. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel was good. I had no problem to the monday morning when at 7.30am men started work on a cieling just outside my door there was continued banging, drilling and use of electric saws. The noices were similar to those experienced for a few hours after booking in on the friday evening. I am sure you can note that I have booked hotels through you on previous occaisons without compliant. This was dissapointing more than anything else. I enformed the desk of my dissatisfaction before leaving.
Good location for our purpose (Theatres). First impression on entering the hotels rception was "very nice". The reception staff were extremely polite & helpful. The double room was comfortable allbeit very small with an equally small bathroom (no frills & no view). Our room was situated next to one of the lifts. This was handy but the lift doors kept us awake in the middle of the night. The breakfasts were substantial, the food good and again the waiting staff were polite and helpful. The hotel has a relaxing bar area run by very cheery and pleasant staff. We certainly enjoyed our stay but definately dissappointed by the size of the room and lack of luxury expected when booking "Hilton"!
We stayed in the hotel for a two night break for my daughter`s18th birthday. Aware of the celebration, the hotel had upgraded us and placed a basket of fruit in the room with a birthday message. The rooms are lovely with everything you need, it`s a great location and breakfast was delicious. Location wise it was perfect for two days sightseeing in the capital and I look forward to returning to the Doubletree very soon.
EXCELLENT TREATMENT WE WERE GIVEN A COMPLIMENTARY DRINK ON ARRIVAL AS OUR ROOM WAS NOT QUITE READY. ONLY HAD TO WAIT 10 MINUTES. WOULD CERTAINLY STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN
Excellent Hotel and staff.
Some renovation work ongoing on our floor and evidence of unfinished work in bedroom (ceiling not painted over bed, where work had taken place). Breakfast was very good.
The public areas of the hotel are lovely but we had a few problems with our room, the TV didnt work or the air conditioning but on both occasions staff attend to our problems immediatley, the staff were very friendly. We stayed for breakfast, the fruit, bread etc was ok but the cooked breakfast wasnt very good, weve had better in a premier or holiday inn.
A great hotel. It was very clean and modern. The part I stayed in had just been finsihed and so everything was brand new. Would definitely recommend. Complimentary gown and slippers were a real treat!
Our room was rather small for a 4 star hotel but everything else about the hotel, the level of service, the meals, cleanliness etc, was excellent
We stayed in room 413 and the glass shower guard made an awful sound when moved. Couldn`t figure out how to get my ipod working on the room radio. I tried the `Blue Moon` beer and found it did not have hardly any tatse. A UK beer might be a good idea - Black Sheep for example. The ladies enjoyed their cocktails. Finally, we mistakenly took the service lift as there is no sign on it saying that it is for staff only. Also, it was in a terrible state or repair and with graffiti all over it. This cannot be very good for the staff ethos of Doubletrees being a quality hotel.ThanksTed Shaw.
was a lovely hotel and very convenient for all attractions but room to small as a double we should have asked to be moved as bed was against wall but still enjoyed our stay and breakfast made up for it .All staff were very nice would stay again
I had reserved 5 Single Rooms and I was delighted that the rooms were available at 10.00hr. Rooms were clean & comfortable , Bathroom Mirror & Light not working (my room only ) The Breakfast was Exellent and so was The Bar & reception .
Hotel is lovely and staff very attentive. The beds are so comfortable, best nights sleep I have had for a long time. Only drawback there was no hairdryer provided. Very good stay overall. Would go again.
