The room was beautiful and the facilities provided excellent. However, the bed sunk in the middle and gave a very bad night sleep!! The room which was billed as `non smoking` smelt of stale smoke, requiring the purchase of scented candles. Also the toilet paper is very cheap, which we found odd for such an otherwise luxurious accommodation.!
We normaly stay at the city-inn when we travel to Leeds, but this time we thought that we would give the Radison a try. Overall we was disapointed it was equal to the Novatel but a lot more Exspensive. Would we rush back.... No. Would we stay there again.... yes. but only if the City-inn was full.. IAN
Had a really nice room, it must have been an upgrade, will go again
Parking @ The Light was easy, but more than £5 discount for hours parking would make it better.Hotel bar closed relatively early at 11:30.All staff were friendly and helpful and room was nice, but could have been cleaner!
The room was comfortable and the staff were helpful. However, there did not seem to be enough staff for the size of the hotel. Didn`t appreciate it when the cleaner woke us up at 8 am to gain access to the room to clean it!
Excellent Breakfast. usual gripes that there were defective light bulbs in the room and there were not enough tea/coffee & sugar supplies. We had to search for our room 443 as it was not signposted on the signes outside the lift.
clean, spacious room. helpful staff and a good location
Usually stay at the Marriott at Leeds but decided on a change this time and booked into Radisson. Very nice hotel, room was excellent, very nice breakfast and the hotel location is very good.
Breakfast food was excellent but table service hap - hazard. We had coffee, tea and cutlery removed untouched while we were at breafast bar for second course. Head waitress was offhand. Bar staff were friendly and efficient.
The only problem we had was that some of the bulbs weren`t working in the room so trying to get ready in semi darkness was difficult. The manager did bring a replacement light though which helped. Otherwise a great hotel.
Arrived early but still able to check in - staff very helpful at all times. My 2nd visit and it won`t be my last.
We stayed two nights at the Radisson, Leeds, our second stay within a year. As before the room, staff and food were excellent. However, the drinks were very expensive - £8.50 for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc is pretty extortionate, the Chardonnay was `only` £6.50. Will be aware for future visits! The hotel is very central and ideal for the Grand Theatre, and the main shopping streets.
Fantastic! Friendly staff, extremely helpful. A very modern and confortable room with all of the mod cons you would expect. The building itself is stunning, set as part of The Light centre. The breakfast was exceptional. Worth every penny. I cannot praise high enough and will definitely make it my hotel of choice to stay in in Leeds again.
excellent for city centre,10 mins walk from rail station, excellent facilities, well presented, tidy spacious rooms, all round very comfortable.
The Radisson is an excellent city centre hotel very close to the art gallery and Town Hall. It is only a short walk to the main shops and to the university. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. the breakfast choice is good and the staff friendly and polite. The only negative is the slightly noisy air conditioning and we could not find a way of switching it off.
good value for money... would book again..
one room cold ,air conditioning seemed stuck on.Same room half of lights not working ,informed desk on leavinng. Mistakes in charges levied on extras (not taken) No sherry of any kind in the bar.
Good value hotel - nice, quiet room. Browns restauant is next door which was good, and hotel breakfast was excellent. Would stay again.
The hotel was well-sound-proofed and the rooms dark, cool and comfortable for summer.
Disappointing breakfast
Lovely hotel, staff very pleasant, room was excellent. Unfortunately the breakfast was very disappointing, I didn`t get my egg that was ordered and friends were finished their food when the eggs arrived. Well situated for Leeds city , would use the hotel again.
Room was situated on the front and was quite noisy at night time.Breakfast was basic
On arrival at the hotel reception Friday afternoon (30/1/2009), I was greeted a with a warm and friendly smile. I was then asked if I had a credit card, since I did not have one, produced a visa debit card which £50 was deducted for extras - should in case there was a need. Had a good nights sleep (bed a touch too soft) and a filling breakfast. On departure the Saturday afternoon (31/1/2009), since I did not use or require any extras I was told that the deposit (£50) would be refunded immediately to my account. I checked my account Monday (two days later, Monday 2/2/2009) no £50. This was a big disappointment, since they were quick to take the money yet very slow to return it. Not happy with that therefore will check my account on Tuesday (3/2/2009), and if not there will phone Radisson to complain. This does not bode well for any future reservations.
Hard to fault. At the top end of four stars. Almost better than 5 because you don`t get that over attentiveness
hotel very clean and comfortable friendly staff we had aproblem with our booking which was resolved immediately i would not hesitate to use hotel direct or the radisson leeds again in the near future
the hotel facilities were good and the staff helpful. We were allocated smoking rooms despite our confirmation stating that i had booked non smoking rooms.
Overall very good but room 317 did not have tea making facility for 3 people and a bit `mean` with tea bags. Also some difficulty with the kettle. Bit Heath Robinson set up - temporary kettle?
Very nice staff lovley hotel, enjoyed my staff bar and resturant really nice. I am hoping to go again in a few weeks with my husband as this was a weekendwith the girls.
The hotel is in an excellent location, approximately 10-15 minute walk from the train station and 10 minute walk to the shops! The hotel is situated in The Light complex which has several restaurants and cafes, shops and a cinema. The hotel itself was fab. The room was very comfy and the buffet breakfast was very good with a wide range of goodies to choose from. I would stay there again.
When we arrived we were given a twin rather than a triple room. They said they would have another bed delivered because they do not do triple rooms, despite advertising on your website that they did. We waited half an hour in the room, but no one turned up and the room was not big enough for another bed. We waited in the queue to complain as were lots of other people because the hotel was fullly booked and many rooms were not ready by 2pm. They told us there were no other rooms but after persisting with our complaint they upgraded us to a business class room which was big enough for the third extra bed. After this they were very nice to us and made us feel welcome, so overall the hotel was good.
