We enjoyed our stay. We requested a twin room, but the bed was made as a double, however this was rectified quickly on request. Our room was adequate. The coffee machine was faulty, but again a replacement machine was provide within 20mins. Unfortunately our trip was too short to enjoy the leisure facilities other than booking a massage which was very enjoyable. Unfortunately on departure only one lift appeared to be working and as we were on floor 2 it was always full when it reached us. we found the fire escape stairs and carried our cases down two floors to find ourselves at the kitchen, retraced our steps with our cases to the first floor and managed to find the route down more stairs to the reception although this was not sign posted from the stair well. Not such a good end to the stay as our cases were heavy!
Perfect location, nice rooms, staff are friendly and helpful. I will always stay here when in Edinburgh.
Some guests have a preference for drawers in the room.Early morning calls from the maids was inconvenientThe heating system didn`t respond in room 233The pool was excellentThe rooms were spacious and comfortableThe staff were great
Very comfortable stay to attend a wedding in the city. Staff were very helpful and pleasant from reception staff to bar to housekeeping. Good central location also.
Staff were very helpful and polite. Better breakfast than similar hotels, very much enjoyed my stay
Was delighted when arrived with my 9 friends. I had booked the Raddison based on location and 4* status. On arrival we were met with the staff who were so friendly and helpfull. Everything from the reception area to the rooms and facilities were immaculate. My friends couldn`t thank me enough for finding this little gem! Thank you for not letting me down. We all said we would stay again, and recommend it to everyone who wants a fantastic stay. Thank you to all the staff.
You can easily walk to this hotel from Waverley station, but it is uphill. The hotel is about halfway along the Royal Mile so you can walk to the castle at one end and Holyrood at the other. Princes Street too is within walking distance (and downhill!) but, apart from Jenners, you could be in any high street in any city. We had a good sized room overlooking the Royal Mile, but it wasn`t noisy at night. I enjoyed a swim in the pool; good size and good facilities. So, location and facilties are excellent, but the staff are even better! Really, really, nice, helpful, friendly people
A lovely hotel located in the center of Edinburgh. The staff were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. I would recommend this hotel.
Good location and staff were helpful and polite from the point of check in t the room service and the cleanliness. Thanks you and we will use you again.
Friendly efficient welcome, no-fuss professional attention, good facilities, well appointed rooms. Stress-free.
the hotel had all the facilities that we required and we very much enjoyed our stay. The location was brilliant; being able to walk through a lovely marble reception with many lifts and desks all to make our plans easy; very helpful staff on the desks; lovely little bar/restaurant with delicious food where one could enjoy either a snack or a full meal. The car park was very convenient for us. Finally for us the hotel in general terms was really brilliant as we are not used to such good facilities; whilst having said that the hotel was not cheap and we wd appreciate any feedback when good deals are going.
lovely hotel set in the popular royal mile staff really friendly will definately be staying again michaela group of 12 ladies
but to be fair reception did sort this out for us. on the whole a nice hotel and very central.
Had a really nice 2 night stay at the Radisson Edinburgh at the start of June. The staff were lovely, really helpful. Didn`t have any food at the hotel so cannot comment on that, nor did we use the pool as we didn`t have time! Only complaint was being woke by the maid at 8am on morning of checkout (when checkout isn`t until 12), then again at 10am to see if we had left. Really should have put out the `do not disturb sign`. All in all, brilliant stay and will definitely be back!
We would certainly stay there again.
I was treating my neice for her 21st Birthday celebrations and reception upgraded our room ; provided a cake and free glass of bubbly!! These extra touched really made our stay especially for an impoverished student!! Every aspect of the hotel was first class - we world definately recommend it. Linda & Rachael (Belfast)
Situated slap bang in the middle of the Royal Mile you cannot beat this hotel on location. Staff were really friendly and helpful without being pushy. We had a standard double room which was clean, tidy and quiet but if super picky could maybe do with a spruce up and maybe not quite 4* but was perfectly fine for a few days sight seeing and I would probably enquire about the turret rooms if it was a special occasion. Overall it was a great stay and wouldn`t think of staying anywhere else unless pushing the boat out with the Balmoral.
Very helpful staff on Reception and excellent location in Edinburgh`s Royal Mile - other than that very disappointing. Room decor `tired` and verging on grubby. Carpeting and seating stained.
Excellent hotel, couldn`t be better situated right on the royal mile. Beautiful, clean hotel, check in and departure staff brilliant. We paid slightly less per night on our previous visit to Edinburgh and stayed at a boutique hotel. This is well worth an extra few pounds.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Particularly Richard. Lovely hotel & fantastic location.
We enjoyed our stay at the Radisson Edinburgh. The rooms are very comfortable, and the staff on the Reception desk were welcoming and friendly. They readily accommodated our request for a room at the back of the hotel, and were very helpful - a good place to stay for a long weekend.
The bed was very hard and gave me back ache. There was a lot of noise on both nights around 10pm coming from the floor above. It lasted around 30 mins each night and sounded like tables and chairs being dragged along the floor. This is not acceptable when you pay premium money for a hotel room.
Where do the bathroom tiles come from
We were upgraded to a business class room but very disappointed with the large ink stain on the carpet as we entered our room. This gave a rather unsatisfactory first impression. I think our room number was 246. Would welcome your comments back to us on that. Thanks
Perfectly situated to reach all the tourist attractions Edinburgh has to offer, and easy access to public transport. The the rooms were spacious and clean. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. The staff were very helpfull when directions were needed.
great hotel - the furnishings getting old and need refurbishing, but otherwise okay. Could give more milk teabags etc for the in-room refreshments however
Staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant. Hotel spotless. Little bit noisy from the street outside in to early morning (Sat/Sunday) - we had booked 2 rooms and found on arrival that in one of the rooms the wardrobe doors were missing -hinges removed and painted over. Breakfast was excellent value for money. Car Park fees high - feel fees should have been waved for hotel residents.
It`s location is what makes it decent, and from outside it almost wins hands down for looks. But I found it to be very average. We had just a standard room. Not really any view to speak of. We used the lesuire pool and found it very basic, an quite small. Although it was a clean hotel, the expectation was much higher, given the caliber of the Radisson name. Definitely not worth the daily rate, even though it was valentines weekend.
would recommend to anyone
Everything was superb, both staff and room! Definetly be back again.
Great location. Helpful an polite staff. We even got an upgrade without asking. Service excellent. good food. Rooms comfy and clean. We had a really enjoyable stay. Would certainly go back.
