I stayed at Opera Franklin with my friends and a toddler son. My friend chose the hotel, so I did not know much before I went but really like it. It is 10-13 minutes walk from Opera and there are 3 supermarkets around which is handy. They have just done up the whole decoration from scratch or something, so everything is clean and new.
Very good, friendly, good location, and clean.
the hotel franklin is a lovely hotel the staff are freindly and helpful .
Hotel was good except on arrival we found refurbishment going on and kept getting woken up by the lorries etc out the front of the hotel in the early hours of the morning, Hotel could of had there address on the room key cards, so you could remember address when away from hotel as we found it difficult to get back to the first night.Otherwise good and may consider using again. Would be nice to have tea and coffee facilities in all rooms not just the suites.

Rooms were very good, maybe a little small. Cont. Breakfast good. 10 minute walk from Gard De Nord. 10 min walk to lots od shopping and hop on off bus and metro
This was my second stay at Opera Franklin and would not consider staying anywhere else in Paris. About a ten minute walk from Gare du Nord and an excellent location close to metro Cadet. Superb breakfast and very helpful staff. Looking forward to another stay next year!
The hotel was OK overall. They are renovating the 4th floor, so there were workmen and materials around. There are 8 floors and only 1 lift. We were on the 5th floor, and we needed to use the lift because the stairs were very narrow and winding. This one lift was used by the chambermaids, workmen and other staff as well as guests on all 8 floors.
Central location and within walking distance of 3 main metro lines. However, don`t expect much privacy in your room as the walls in this hotel are so thin that you can hear everything from the room next door.
Hotel located close to Cadet metro station therefore access to all sights within a 5 minute walk. Room, although small, very clean with all facilities provided. Staff extremely helpful and polite. Would definitely go back to this hotel and would recommend as value for money. If you are booked into this hotel within the next few weeks please note refurbishment is currently be carried out on the 3rd floor so expect some noise, although it did not bother us as we went to Paris to see the sights not stop in the room!

It was really good time in really nice hotel. It is worth of its price. Good breakfast also.
The staff were lovely, breakfast good. Rooms were a squeeze, nice and clean except for the fact we asked for a non-smoking and the room almost unbearably stank of smoke.
Rooms were quiet at night and the continental breakfast was very adequate.Hotel is difficult to find without street map, and and would recommend that purchase of metro tickets a must for getting around tourist areas.Would certainlly go back to Opera Franklin.
We had a good stay over the Christmas break. Parking was advertised with this hotel, but in fact this turned out not to be the case. In the end we were able to park in an underground public car park, but without a good map, and lots of cash (Visa/Mastercard etc are not accepted) we would have been in trouble. The room was clean and small, but we didn`t go to Paris to spend lots of time in our room. Beds were very comfortable. We took our own travel kettle and tea, and very pleased we did. Breakfast was quite good, if a little disorganised.Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly with our parking problem!
only negative comment would be that breakfast content could be improved
Very comfortable and pleasant. Pity the shower is in a fixed bracket too high for short people.Breakfast mediocre and disorganised, need more staff in the dining room.
Chose this hotel for a short break for us to spend time in Paris. Reception were excellent and happy to support my attempts at french. Room was clean on arrival and daily on our return. Breakfast was a little busy with many guests electing to eat around the same time late on which was a little challenging for seating and the waitresses to keep up with. Totally obliging staff. Reasonably good range of buffet on offer - hot and cold with no limits on juice, coffee, croissants etc. Located between 2 easily accessible metro stations and with two OK supermarkets in the immediate vacinity. Reception well stocked with tourist information and happy to give help on getting there. Left luggage well organised and collected after dinner for a late evening flight even though checkout had been at lunch. Delighted to recommend and looking forward to returning.
When we arrived the air conditioning in our room was not working , my husband asked if it would be fixed and was told someone had been in that day and could not fix it , but that they were coming back the following day. It was not operating for the four days that we stayed there . The bedroom was like a sauna making it impossible to sleep. Also I felt that the breakfast room was not big enough for the amount of guests in the hotel. The hotel is very clean and the staff were pleasant and it is in quite a good location to travel around Paris. I personally would not use this hotel again.
Interesting building, efficient and pleasant breakfast, and we`d be happy to go back.
Everything about the hotel was excellent apart from the breakfast. The first day was O.K. but the following days were poor. Having said that, if we were to come back to France , it would be to the same hotel.
Generally a comfortable and well presented hotel, centrally located and well priced. We had a good stay!
lovely area, warm welcome, rooms beautifully clean, reception helpful
Booked double room but got room with 2 single beds put together. Spoke to manager and due to hotel being full he could only change bed, this was perfect for us, we wnt out for the day came back and beds were pushed together and made as one! Also breakfast on 1st day was good but rest of stay below average.Very little information in the hotel regarding sight seeing and staff were average. We were asked quite a few time if we were Mr & Mrs Lazar we recieved a phone call to our room asking same!!
Small friendly hotel.Pleasant helpful staff. As much as you cane eat continental breakfast.Close to 2 metro stations.Location slightly out of the way.Very good value for money.
My husband and I have just returned from a week end break , to celebrate his 50th. The hotel is in a great location. We know the rooms are small in Paris but nothing could have prepared us for our room number 5a at the Franklin . It was very very small, no drawers and no window just the full glass door .Breakfast was included however the week end we stayed the hotel was full. We went for breakfast each morning at approx 8.15am and had to queue.Another word of warning we ordered a taxi from the reception and was informed by the receptionist it would be ?32 eouros- not the case when we arrived it was ?55 euros even though the taxi company had an advertisement at the hotel reception which clearly stated ?16 each. Overall I would stya gain at the Franklin but make sure I request a different room. It was good value for money.
We would happily stay at the Opera Franklin Hotel should we visit Paris again. Walking distance to Montmarte (20 mins ish). The hotel was on a Metro line which made it easy to get to most attractions. The rooms were small but perfectly functional, with in room air conditioning which was great, and french doors onto a juliette balcony. Breakfast was fine and staff were helpful and friendly. There was also a great Italian restaurant just next door.
The room and public rooms were clean and tidy and well maintained, the onlt problem was offloading the car outside the Hotel, this was impossible on a one way street so we had to carry everything from the car park 500 metres away.
Well situated for the main tourist attractions.Comfortable and clean. Courteous friendly and helpful staff.Good value fo money
Would recommend this hotel, set close to the metro and within walking distance of some sights. Excellent breakfast served until 10.30 and could have in room as option. Staff very friendly and helpful, room cleaned and linen changed regularly. would return and recommend to others.
Very welcoming and helpful staff. Comfortable and clean roomsand good breakfasts
Located very close to Cadet metro station. Nice "village area" of Paris. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel very clean and rooms comfortable although a little small. Breakfasts good. Only negative about the hotel is that there isn`t much soundproofing between the rooms. I f you have noisey neighbours it may be hard to get to sleep. Thankfully although we could hear our`s having fun they went to sleep just after 11.00.
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were average - not much cupboard space and no drawers for storage but adequate for a short stay. The bathroom was clean and modern and spacious. Our room was badly in need of a refurbishment ie; the walls were dirty and the paper was pealing off in corners. The lighting was dark and dingy - not good for applying make-up girls. Overall though, I would recommend the hotel for anyone who`s visiting Paris over a long weekend - maximum four days. It`s a great location, just round the corner from a metro station and supermarket etc. and if you`re just using it as a base it`s perfect.
It would have been good to have had the choice of a non-smoking bedroom. As a non-smoker I found the smell of smoke in the room and on the bedding overpowering. Otherwise everything else was very satisfactory and the reception staff were always very helpful.
