I would stay there again. Very quick check in and was able to check in early which was a bonus :) also very close to two tube station and little shop. Staff were very friendly and helpfully as u check in like a cash point weird but easy. Room were lovely stay in small double big enough for two clean / tidy . Very good stay overall
The hotel is quiet and comfortable and the price was reasonable.
We used the hotel as a stop over for a visit to the theatre on a Saturday night. We were checked in very efficiently 2hrs early which gave us time to have something to eat and a quick browse around the shops before refeshing ourselves for the theatre. As the hotel is in the financial part of the city the shops that were open were limited, but that wasnt a worry. Room (small double)was big enough and very clean, not sure which direction we faced as there was a high balcony outside but it was very quiet. Will definately stay again and will recommend the hotel to friends.
It was a pleasure to stay in this fabulous hotel. The amenities were excellent and the room was perfect with everything catered for. No problems at all.
Very good Hotel near to the tube stations, 5 min walk to Liverpool Street, Staff very friendly
We had a great stay. Although the surrounding area was dead at the weekend with the City of London only being alive during the week we therefore got a great price and even the smaller double rooms were a decent size for London and lovely and clean. Staff were helpful. Didn`t try restaurant.
Very pleasant and clean hotel in central and safe area. I would stay again!! Free wifi , tea, coffee etc a bonus, however considering it is a 4 star hotel certain things should be improved ie. no food after 23 hrs and a vending machine which displays several chocolates, which unfortunately are unavailable for purchase. However, it is only a minor negative point.
very good ,room spacious clean and tidy, staff helpful and in good location, would use it again.
Although the room and the en-suite were good we were dissapointed with the fact that you could not get a good cupof tea at breakfast. I know that this is trivial and we will certainly stay again if we are in London, but a cup of tea at breakfast is a must for me. We were offered "Hot water" out of a flask to make the tea with and when I said that the water should be boiling, the response was almost a shoulder shrug. Also the indent in the saucer was too small for the cup and the cup slid around, making it easy to spill. The machine in the foyer made a good cup of tea (tea and coffee were complimentary) so why not have something similar in the restaurant?
Great hotel with lots of extras like gym, tea and coffee in a lounge bar. Restaurants within.
We were very impressed with the Hotel, and really enjoyed our stay, the Hotel is near Liverpool Street Station, the Bank and Monument tube.
The hotel is easily accessible via public transport, the room was a treat, and the service extremely efficient and very friendly.
It just meets my expectations, all I want is a good night sleep in a clean room with a clean bathroom
Very central and well appointed.
friendly and helpful staff. bedrooms really clean and spacious, only slight complaint there was no mirror near a plug for make-up and hair..coffee and water were plentyful. would definiteley stay here again.
The location was excellent and the lounge was comfortable and elegant. However the room did not live up to the entrance, because it was small, with medocre furnishings, a small bathroom. Also the decor was tired. However, I like the concept of club quaters.
Good location for the city. Don`t get excited by the `club` aspect which seemed to be a coffee machine in reception. Good clean room, reasonable rates by London standards and helpful staff. Would recommend.
good hotel reasonably priced spacious rooms, but restaurant bit overpriced
We were made welcome, all our needs were catered for. Efficient, clean and friendly. Gaucho restaurant very good. Convenient to tube station. Quiet on the weekend. Felt secure in the hotel and safe in the area. Would definitely reccommend.
Hotel was nice, although nowhere near as grand as the pictures make it look. Didn`t realise we could only get room service if we wanted to eat on the Saturday evening. No hotel bar either. However, it is very conveniently located, the staff were very friendly and the price was reasonable.
Good size room and large shower in City Hotel within easy walking distance of Liverpool St Station and Bank Underground. Free Internet access a bonus as well as complimentary coffee etc in lobby.
have had much better rooms on previous visits. room was booked for two people but towelling, pillows and bathroom toiletries provided for only single use
`Boiled` overdone `fried` eggs. A moneyback situation on the cost of a breakfast pse.
The room was OK unil we were woken in the early hours of the morning. We were over the entrance to Gaucho and as the air con was not effective had our window open. Terrible noise for around 30 mins whilst dustbins picked up from the restaurant - bottles smashing mainly. Did not sleep thereafter.
A window didn`t shut properly was the only negative. Very convenient central location but quiet. Didn`t eat at hotel so can`t comment. Very reasonable price. Overall very satisfied.
Room was spacious, light clean and comfortable. Great location.
I stayed here with my nephew and his girlfriend who flew in from NZ. We were all impressed with the standard and cleanliness of the rooms and helpfulness of the reception staff. We were glad of the coffee machine and fresh water on each floor. We recommend you and will stay in the future, hope we don`t have to wait too long!!
would always stay at a club quaters when there is one available
I was pleased with the hotel, I was impressed by the very quick check in...bathroom was small but the shower was of a very good standard indeed! I would come back in the near future....
Nice and clean, good sized room (booked a twin) with air conditioning which was great. Complimentary coffee and water was a bonus. Nice walk-in shower, makes a change not to have the shower over the bath. Did not take breakfast as too pricey so did not see the restaurant. Room not particularly cheap but could have got a lower price if booked earlier. Location a bit far out but depends what you are doing in London. Great for Tower of London area. Reception helpful and left luggage facility very much appreciated. Would stay again on future visits.
bar closed too early and tea and coffee making facilities poor
Wonderfully quiet room (220) overlooking gardens. Very helpful staff - particularly when in a mad dash I forgot to check out properly. The whole set up felt very well run and secure - important for women travelling alone. Would definitely stay again and will look out for other hotels in the same group when travelling for repeat experience.
