The rooms were very clean and tidy but the furniture was a little dated. The hotel was a good base for a weekend break in London. We would definately consider staying here again.
On arriving at Astor Court, my daughter and I were surprised and delighted to find we had been allocated a two bedroom apartment rather than the one room we had expected. It was warm, clean and very spacious and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was plentiful and the location was absolutely perfect. Will definitely stay there again.
The best thing about this hotel is it`s location. It is just off Regent Street, in a quiet side street, and is handy for the shops and the tube station. Bearing this in mind the price for a room is very good value. The staff we encountered were polite and friendly. The room was basic and clean, but could have done with some TLC. Although non-smoking it smelt of stale smoke. The breakfast was adequate. On the downside the floors were increadibly creaky, but this wasn`t a problem until early morning when someone in the next room seemed to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing. Some fresh fruit at breakfast wouldn`t have gone amiss either. I would definately stay there again just for the great location.
I was not sure what to expect after reading some reviews but hotel was excellent. Very clean spacious room, helpful friendly staff, brilliant continental breakfast, excellent quiet location near to Oxford Circus. Will be back
excellent location for oxford street, staff are really friendly and breakfast was well sufficient!!! i would definately stay again. The package we got was well worth the money!!!
Exelent location, very good rates for the centre of London, could not fault it.
The hotel was well located for shopping in Oxford St & Regent St The Tube station at Oxford Circus made travelling to the west end shows easyThe room was pleasent & the continental breakfast was enjoyableThe staff were very pleasent & helpful
This hotel is situated in an excellent place for access to the West End with very short walk to the undeground station. Place was warm (stayed here in December) tthe continental buffet breakfast was fine with plenty offer and the hotel was clean and welcoming and beds comfy. If I want to be picky you did get some road noise during the night, but after all you are in the West End of London so this should not be a problem to anyone with the conveniance the hotel offers of access to the city. Great stay and will be back
If you not a "Hotel fan" then this is well acceptable for a place to stay considering the position and charges. The staff is very friendly so overhaul it`s a YES to use it again. We had a great weekend with the kids and it`s been well helped by the hotel characteristics. Many thanks.
Nice hotel, breakfast good, excellent location
We were delighted with the location of this charming hotel, a walk to Oxford Circus, easy access to central London sights and shopping ... The reception staff were polite and helpful, if a little overworked at times, and the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was fine - continental only, not cooked food available, but well-presented and perfectly OK. Help-yourself tea and coffee, which was just about OK. The room was lovely, and the bed very comfortable. I managed to get a good deal on two nights mid-week, so value for money was excellent - given the location, I guess the full price is what you would expect to pay for central London, though for me, it would have been outside my budget. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
This hotel is in a nice area and the generally clean. It needs a bit of a facelift. The staff were polite and pleasant. The room could be called quaint and with a coat of paint it would be but I am not sure about quaint bathroom facilities. On the whole we paid a discounted price which made it good value. If I had paid normal rate I would have been disappointed.
very friendly staff , very clean hotel ,good wholesome breakfast, excelently situated so very close to the west end and within walking distance to all main attractions, we will use your facilities again and recommend them to others
Hotel v basic, budget. Room on ground level was noisey from work outside from 7.30am! Breakfast basic and not the best. Clean but very dated. Great location for Oxford St.
improved double glazing to reduce street noise.room no 5, the automatic door motors could be heard when operated.
A lovely clean hotel. Really recommend it.
The hotel is reasonably priced and literally down the road to Oxford St, so good location, we had a twin bed room it was spacious, clean and basic, but a little stuffy as there is no air conditioning, we arrived on one of the hottest days in London, downfall toilet had no basin in it so you had to walk round to the bathroom to wash your hands and breakfast good.
Second stay at this hotel, which is a bit tired in the rooms, but adequate and clean and it`s location behind the BBC makes it great for business mtgs and pleasure. book well in advance to get the good rates though.
Bedroom was large & had plenty of wardrobe & storage space. Hotel was clean, staff were pleasant & continental breakfast was generous.
basic but very clean and a good location
Ran out of bread and pastries at breakfast!! Bread was eventually replaced after member of staff ran to shop! Could hear underground from hotel room but very big rooms for money more like an appartment as had own kitchen also!
Hotel good value, easy to find, near to theatre, friendly welcome and better than average continental breakfast. enjoyed our stay in a larger than average hotel room with a pristine bathroom.
Hotel staff were helpful and although we arrived early the room was already for us and we even received and up grade.
we only had one night here and to be honest we were glad. Although the room had a spacious living area the bed area was tiny, two single beds pushed together rather than a double and was up against the wall so I had to climb over it to get in. the room definitely needed renovation/redecorating. there was no soap for washing hands, and no little extras like shampoo or even tissues. Location wise - was ok, about a ten minute walk to Oxford Circus tube station. Continental breakfast was okay - a variety of cereal, toast and croissants.
Brakfast good but the lift was clearly audible from the room during the night - a bit irritating.
No where to relax or meet people, no facilities whatsoever, tired rooms and structure but a reasonable location and cost if you book ahead. Provided you know what you are getting it is OK
The hotel room was very big with alot of space and very clean (we were in a triple room but still had plenty of space). The hotel itself was in a good location; close to shops and places to eat and with an underground station only a 5 minute walk away. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Overall we were very happy with our stay.
Rooms clean and servicable, if rather tired-looking and beds not very comfortable. Reception staff could be a little more welcoming and friendly. Fabulous location, though, and not a bad price for such a central hotel.
