Hotel reasonable - room was pleasant - but cramped and small, wardrobe dirty, none of the usual refinements I`;d expect for a 4 star hotel. I chose it because of close proximity to theatre - which it wasn`t - advertised as 0.2 miles away - more like 1 mile + and the 4 star rating - I`d give it a 3 star . Next time its 5 star for me! By these rating standards I live in 10 star home!!!
Had a wonderful time at this lovely Hotel
Nice Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was OK but nothing to write home about. Like the show tickets, I could have got the hotel at a better rate by booking direct myself.
Stayed overnight for a theatre weekend during December. Found the hotel warm and welcoming. Room was clean and adequate but rather dated and definitely overdue for a remake.
Very comfortable stay
Telephoned day before to state we would be early arriving and that 2.00 pm check was late for us. Told not to worry. This was totally unexpected when we did arrive at 12.00 mid-day and after a short discussion and explanation a room was successfully found. Room was very clean and location could not have been better for theatre and shopping. Had to turn heating off - far too hot to sleep. Breakfast - we had continental which was more than sufficient. All staff very polite and helpful. Maybe a little overpriced but we got what we wanted. Would definitely stay there again. Hotel might consider offering a slightly better map of the locationfor out of londoners as the little card was not very clear. Good job we could see the BT tower from our window - we used this as a landmark every time we got lost.
Excellent service by reception staff when signing in. Room size was adequate (this is London) and spotlessly clean. Housekeeper was very helpful when we needed some extra pillows due to medical problem, she was really kind, polite and courteous. Well situated to the West end....minutes walk to Regent Street. Minutes to Goodge Street underground station. No noise whatsoever, we slept wonderfully, comfortable bed. Only downside is breakfast, extremely limited but staff very polite and kind. Plenty of lovely places near by for breakfast and reaaly inexpensive. Overall this has been a very good experience.
Friendly staff, good clean rooms... noise carries from street at front of hotel.
My daughter and I stayed in the Rathbone Hotel for one night and were extremely happy with everything. The Duty manager went out of his way to let us know that a very honest taxi driver had handed in my mobile which had slipped out of my coat pocket. It was great to be within walking distance of Oxford Street and the London Palladium where we saw The Wizard of Oz. A long promised treat!
Excellent hotel, staff very helpful.couldn`t do enough for you, will stay there again.
Hotel staff very professional, helpful, pleasant and friendly. We had a really nice time. Thanks
Reception of staff very friendly, concierge very helpful and informative. Bedroom very clean and had everything you would want. Continental breakfast was excellent, choice very good. Decor of hotel very nice and relaxing and very well kept.
Excellent hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean and ideally situated for theatres and shopping. Excellent continental breakfast.
The hotel was nicely appointed with excellent very polite and attentive staff. The rooms were very comfortable and clean although the bathroom was a little tired and could do with redecorating .The guest bar and lounge was very comfortable and pleasant to sit in serving some excellent wines at a reasonable price .
Comfortable room but lack of attention to detail - no shower cap, only one bottle of shower gel, towel rail not working.Good breakfast (if included in the rate)
Very stylish comfortable hotel , great location, great value for money ideal for theatre or shopping
Hotel staff very welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Bathrooms are not large but are adequate for overnight stays. Continental breakfast table is well stocked with fresh food, the supply of which is unlimited.
The Hotel was very good, clean and homely. Staff polite and helpfull, the only negative is that the bed was so firm, following a day sightseeing in London the most important thing you need is a comfortable bed and a good night sleep. I would also like to highlight that the directions given by Hotel Direct to get to the hotel by tube be revised. It is so much easier to get to Tottenham Court Road than Googe Street and the distance you have to walk to the Hotel about the same.
The hotel room was very very basic and small, not a 4star standard. The pictures of the bar and reception area on the internet are very deceiving, very small.
found room 413 on corner very noisy due to pub opposite
We really loved this hotel, lovely bedrooms and bathrooms, very comfortable beds. Breakfast was of a high standard with plenty of choice. Foyer was welcoming, lovely area to sit and have a drink. Would definitely use this hotel again, we loved it.
The area is really the best part of Rathbone. If you are sightseeing you can get most anywhere in 10-15 minutes. Easy walk to theatre shows, restaurants and pubs, and a safe neighborhood. The service was fine, and continental breakfast was light but did the trick. Room was not large but was fine. We could not get the a/c to work, but also did not bother asking about it. The most annoying thing for me was that the hotel did not provide free Internet access. They charged £15 per day, which is really pretty outrageous, especially considering what we already pay for the room.
Although right in the centre of London the hotel is very quiet and very welcoming. We were very pleased with our room and would definitely return.
Lovely stay.Friendly staff.Good service .Clean and comfortable.Stylish and central location.Excellent continental breakfast.
The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and always obliging. The food and drink was of a very high standard, our only complaint would be the temperature was too hot and the aircon not powerful enough.
Exceptionally clean and well presented. Staff very efficent, freindly and helpful. Will certainly consider staying there again, next time am in London.
had a brilliant time in london and staying here was the perfect location for my party of 4. we walked from euston in 15mins.and only 10mins walk from west end. would defo recommend the rathbone hotel and we would most certainly stay here again, rooms clean staff friendly and helpful.
Overall we found the hotel clean and with a high level of staff service. The room was comfortable and meet are needs of a weekend break in London. Continental breakfast was lovely and though the quantities made available where small the staff ensured that fresh food was always available. Hotel itself is in a quiet area with plenty of bars and restaurants on the `doorstep`. The hotel is also a short walk away from Oxford street and approxiamately 15 minutes from the west end. Overall we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Rathbone.
Very nice hotel just be careful of the room that you get we stayed for 2 nights and the 1st night we was given a jr double which was v small with a tiny tv not as advertised on the internet but after mentioning it to reception they where very helpful in upgrading us to an executive suite which was so much better for a special birthday weekend and warrented the 4* rateing all in all lovely hotel very good central location for the theatre and shopping.
Best thing about the hotel is the location, close to 2 tube stations and Euston mainline.
