We have stayed here many a time, for the following reasons, its reasonable, provides great spacious rooms, is always clean - and has been every time we`ve stayed and provides amazing views on Leeds. The food is lovely and the staff are always very welcoming. We don`t stay anywhere else apart from The Mint whilst in Leeds
I had a very enjoyable stay on a Saturday night at his hotel. The rooms are clean and well equipped, and the staff were exceptional. Would defintely recommend.
This is an excellent hotel - very clean, stylish rooms, excellent food and great location. Would recommend - can`t fault it in any way.
Good rooms, great views, courteous and helpful staff. Recomend.
The staff were exceptional. The Breakfast was well worth the money. The atmosphere in the hotel bar was superb and well worth having a few drinks in before heading off out. Will definately be staying at the mint again.
hotel comfortable and clean, helpful staff on the whole. breakfast fantastic but sunday morning very full and had to wait half an hour for table.
Was told all rooms have showers so no bath which is a standard expectation. Rooms very basic for a design hotel. Lifts poorly designed(tunnels) and not working properly. Didn`t appreciate someone`s else`s bar tab charged to our bill. Room service meal was inedible but taken off bill after complaining. Breakfast was excellent and the location redeems the hotel(if you can find it)
Great breakfast One of the best I have had even fresh juice. The rooms are all good with lots of mod toys Remember to take lots of money if you want a drink in the bar you will need it £11.50 for a wine and a coke.
Stayed on New Years Eve and had planned to spend the evening in the lovely bar at the hotel. Unfortunately when we arrived at the bar you had to be on the guestlist to enter as there was a private party going on. Was rather annoyed that we hadnt been informed when checking in that we would not be able to use the bar for the evening... would have been even better to be told when booking! There was no apology or alternative offered.. just a simple, you cant come in if you`re not on the guestlist. Besides this was a very nice hotel.
We arrived and were met by very friendly reception staff and then stepped into an excellent room with every facility you could wish for from the huge bed, amazing bathroom/shower to the imac TV/computer. We dined in the City Cafe from the A la Carte Menu which was first class from the starter to the dessert all served by attentive helpful staff. The Hotel is in an excellent position for the train station and city centre with a 360 degree view of Leeds from the rooftop bar .We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to visit Leeds
there was a rip in our duvet cover which did`nt look good, considering the hotel rating. Other guests where extremely noisy realy in the morning- I was actually woken up at around 1am, by the guests in the next room `talking` in the corridor. I feel there should signs on every floor asking guests to more consideate to others beteween certain times. I was verbally abused by the man next to us when I asked him to keep his voice down.I realsie I could have `phoned down to reception, but we were on the9th floor +by the time someone came up they would have been back in there rooms.
We got lost en route to the hotel and were given directions but were not told that their carpark was full and we would have to use the nearest NCP. We then had to walk for approx 10 mins in the rain with our bags! Not a good start. We were also not told that they had a special deal with the carpark for £5 for the stay - we had moved our car on the sunday to the hotel`s carpark (woefully insubstantial but temporary we were told) and paid £13! You need a ticket from reception on checking out and it should only be £5. However, on the plus, it was very clean and the breakfast was very good. There is a very busy bar on the top floor which was quite a novelty but re-mortgage the house before you embark on the cocktails! Overall, the hotel seems not quite finished off as if it has opened before it was ready. Very contemporary and minimalist but a bit lacking in atmosphere.
The City Inn was clean, very welcoming and was what i would expect from a new Hotel at the price i paid. The only problem was the shambolic attempt to provide breakfast. You were taken to your table and the order was taken for both breakfast, tea and toast. The breakfast turned up fortunately, but sadly the toast never did and only on the third time of asking did the tea turn up. We were not the only one`s complaining, other people who were sat around us were having the same problems with both the toast and the drinks. On checking out, i was never asked if i had enjoyed my stay, the first time to my knowledge that i had not been asked, that spoke volumes..!!This spoilt what had been a very nice stay at the hotel.
Waiting time for lift too long and Waiting time for breakfast too long as well. Rooms and service perfect. Very clean and well decorated.
